The word is she isn’t in the costume majority of the movie, just a “punk rock” outfit/t-shirt.
I’m guessing she doesn’t get the costume until her arc develops toward the end of the movie and stops being a drunk

This was a wonderful movie, super sad at parts as well but glad we went to see it
