re: Aggies pulling for Kentucky

I'm pulling for Kentucky. On a side note, when the hell is Alltech Brewing out of Lexington going to start selling those Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ales in Texas? Tell them the market is here and we're ready to buy!

What's the rest of the defensive staff look like at A&M?...
Defensive Coordinator - Mark Snyder; Linebackers Coach - Matt Wallerstedt - former DC from Air Force; Marcel Yates as DBs and Co-DC from Boise State; Special Teams - Brian Polian from Stanford, and Larry Jackson for Stength and Conditioning. And, Terry Price as DL coach...I think it's a pretty solid staff...
MISSOURI
Sept. 8: GEORGIA W
Sept. 22: at South Carolina L
Oct. 6: VANDERBILT W
Oct. 13: ALABAMA L
Oct. 27: KENTUCKY W
Nov. 3: at Florida L
Nov. 10: at Tennessee W
Nov. 24: at Texas A&M L

4-4

TEXAS A&M
Sept. 8: FLORIDA W
Sept. 29: vs. Arkansas W
Oct. 6: at Ole Miss W
Oct. 20: LSU L
Oct. 27: at Auburn L
Nov. 3: at Mississippi State W
Nov. 10: at Alabama L
Nov. 24: MISSOURI W

5-3

Mizzou should be pretty strong this year. I think they upset Tennessee and beat Georgia at home. TAMU will surprise folks this year, finally. They tend to do better than expected when they're not expected to do anything, and MUCH worse than expected when they are. Kyle Field is a much bigger home field advantage than many realize, and A&M won't let Mizzou catch them sleeping this year. Sumlin won't allow it. Also, we compete with Arky this year because of the offensive talent we will have. I think it's a shootout and we squeak by with a W.

re: NCG Refs?

I'd be weary of Big 12 refs if I was an LSU fan. Remember that t.u. controls the refs in the Big 12 and LSU competes directly with t.u. for recruits. It would be in t.u.'s best interest to have Alabama win that game. We'll check back here after the game to see if I was right, should any controversial calls be made. Just my $0.02...
How could they NOT take a look at Smart, if he'd be willing to leave? :usa:
Agree with Tickled Tiger...NO NEUTRAL SITE! A&M at Kyle; LSU at Death Valley! No need for a recruiting location...the game itself will sell recruits. I really hope this isn't ever neutral; especially when we have 2 of the best fan environments at a stadium in the country.
I'd really like to see this as a home and home on Thanksgiving. The rivalry would become heated quickly, and recruits from LA and Texas would be watching that game with their families every year. Death Valley and Kyle would be rocking and when it's not at home, you eat barbecue or cajun food with your bourbon. Win/Win...

re: TCU has been invited to Big XII

Knowing how t.u. works, they probably believe they destabilize the Big East by adding TCU enough to get Notre Dame to abandon ship and join them in the Big 12. I'm saying that's what they're thinking, not what's going to happen. Also, t.u. will stay at a 10 team league for a while, unless Notre Dame, for some ODD reason, decides they do want to join, because they fear that having an actual conference championship game would affect their easy schedule path to a BCS bowl every year. :pimp:

re: Forde: Aggies not ready for SEC

I was at the game, and there was no excuse for our 2nd half collapse. We shouldn't have been throwing the ball up by 17 when we have two top tier RBs. That being said, OSU had an explosive offense and was able to capitalize on our mistakes. They earned the win, but Aggies are ready for whatever game you want to match them up against. We went on a 6-0 run after OSU last year, so Arkansas better not sleep on us. We'll bounce back next week...Gig Em, and congrats Tigers! You guys are looking very tough this year. Gig Em SEC!
