re: Mulkey and McMahon comparison .

Simple solution! Offer Mulkey the Men's Basketball Head Coach Job. Then go find a quality Women's replacement. Afterall aren't there already men coaching women's collegiate basketball?
She would eat it up to have that opportunity to prove herself against most of the rest of the SEC men's coaches.
Think about it and let's put some pressure to make it happen

I'm older. I saw Dempsy hit the 63 yard field goal vs Detroit Lions. Never will forget after the kick Alex Karras just lying face down on the ground kicking and screaming.

re: Anyone had rotator cuff surgery or other shoulder surgery?
Posted by Fred439 on 9/2/24 at 10:13 am
I have had rotator cuff on my right shoulder and a shoulder replacement in my left shoulder. By far the total replacement was the easiest to recover from. Maybe it was just me but I recall my shoulder replacement surgeon telling me in advance that the recovery from total replacement was much easier than recovery from rotator cuff.
Nora Roberts
Posted by Fred439 on 6/3/24 at 3:00 pm
I have read many mysteries and continually see Nora Roberts. Anyone have a recommendation about her books. Normally when I read an author I eventually red them all in order but I just have never started on Nora Roberts.
Past authors I have enjoyed are; John Grisham, David Baldacci, Lee Child, C J Box, Donna Ball and several more.
Any recommendation about Nora Roberts will eb appreciated.
TIA

You will never regret having all your kitchen and bathroom shelves on roll out brackets. Not only does it reduce bending over to the floor simply to see what is at the back of the shelve, it also literally increases the cabinet by 40 to 50 % space as now the entire shelf can become 100% useable. The cost is inconsequential even if it is an after construction add on.

Weed and Feed Fertilizers
Posted by Fred439 on 3/6/24 at 2:42 pm
Do Weed and Feed fertilizers work fast or do they take weeks to show any sign of killing the weeds. My yard guy applied a Weed and Feed product three weeks ago and so far the Weeds are doing better than the grass. i. e. They are thriving on the fertilizer part.
Looks like the Feed part is working just fine but there is absolutely no evidence that anything is being impacted by the Weed part. Lawn guy says "just wait as when things start growing and gets regular watering, they will quickly die off." Well, I am tired of waiting so someone that knows what to expect please advise.

If you are patient, you can find a perfect laptop on E Bay. I just purchased a Microsoft Laptop 5 on E Bay for $800.
Windows 11, 16 G Ram, I 7 processor, 512 HD. Decide what you want and be patient as there will be several to choose from. Be realistic in your offers. Mine listed new @ ~$1,500. The asking price on E Bay was around $950 or so. Listed in new condition and it was definitely pristine condition.
Good Luck.

re: Kitchen remodel appliance recommendations

I have an all GE kitchen that is now 4 years old. SO far I have had to replace the dishwasher in year 2. I have replaced three doors on the GE microwave. 1st was warranty, 2nd and 3rd was on me. Have had three service calls on my GE Profile refrigerator. I wouldn't install GE again if they were free. The replacement cost and headaches just are too much to put up with. Oh on the last broken microwave door they did offer a $50 rebate if I replaced the microwave with another GE microwave.

The Andy Carpenter series by David Rosenfelt are very good and easy listening. Andy Carpenter is a retired lawyer (came into a fortune) and decided to stop practicing law. 25 books or so later he is still taking cases. It is very humorous and even the wife will enjoy the books. Can't say enough good things about them. If you decide to give it a try might as well start with book 1 as even though the stories are not a continuation, there are refere nces back to characters and things that have happened imn previous books. Good Luck.

CPAP is the best invention since sliced bread. Makes a world of positive difference. I even use my CPAP for an afternoon nap. If my power goes out i still put the mask on as I am so used to sleeping with the mask, I can't sleep without it. Good luck and thank the Dr. that diagnosed you.

Lemon Tree Question
Posted by Fred439 on 10/29/23 at 7:25 pm
I had a lemon tree die from freeze last winter. I cut it back to just the stump and it has now sprouted this spring from the root stock and several sprouts 6 in away obviously from part of a root.
The original tree was a grafted tree purchased in a local nursery. My feeling is the even though there is very large growth (tree now has many branches and is 6 or 8 ft tall) from the root stock and stump, it will never produce Meyer Lemons again, maybe no lemons.
This feeling is from the fact that the entire grafted portion of the tree was killed from the cold, and the restored growth is from the original tree which probably wasn't a Meyer Lemon.
Anyone have better knowledge than me on this Lemon Tree?
Thanks in advance.

Recently The New York Post ran an article with a link below. Article says they make massive use of stealing ID's and other nefarious activities. I deleted all my e mails from them and so far, I haven't had anything negative happen that I can detect.

Talk with your urologist about a drug called Potassium Citrate. This drug changes the pH of your urine, which reduces the formation of Kidney stones.
In 2020 I passed 17 Kidney stones between Dec 2019 and Feb 2020. None since starting Potassium Citrate.

David Rosenfelt's Andy Carpenter series are very good. I have read all of them and can't wait for the next one to come out. It is a humorous legal mystery, series; each book about 6 or 7 hours long. Very easy listening and fun to listen to. You don't need to read them in order however if you listen to one of them and enjoy it, I'd then go back and start with book 1 and read them in order.
They are a light listen, funny, challenging and a great way to pass the hours on a long drive. I don't think you'd be disappointed in them. Good luck and e mail me back if you enjoy them and you listen to them and enjoy the series. hblegend@outlook.com
