I think Loftin squared away a deal with the bammers to pay whatever we owe to the Big 12 as a thank you for taking Franchione off their hands....
Pussy. If you can't handle the heat, don't come to Texas.
I'll tell you how it is around my office. My brother and I work together, both big Aggies.

This year, I had hoped and prayed that we were finally going to be relevant again on the national stage. The signs were there, and all that koolaid sure did go down well.

Then, the longest QUARTER OF THEM ALL happened on Saturday. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I don't know WTF happened. All I know is that it was a mighty long drive home on Sunday. The mood is very low around here. Even the news we were waiting for regarding the SEC has not lifted the pall that hangs over our office (it sure has helped though). We were talking about it yesterday, how different we would feel right now if the game had ended differently...the excitement over the SEC inclusion would have led to drinking every afternoon.

The only good thing about it is that it is Wednesday, and we get to take out all that frustration on the toothless wonders in Jerryworld. At least that will be a step back in the direction of getting our street cred.

Maybe the SEC will forgive us for not coming into the conference as the reigning Big 12 Champs, because I won't. That is how this was supposed to happen.

Pretty impressed with the answers so far, but yes, you would need a whole new board...a lifetime of learning...

I've been lurking over here for a couple months now in anticipation of the move, and am starting to grin a bit thinking of how we are perceived by our new peers. Growing up an Aggie, in Texas, everyone knows that you're a bit different. Having to explain a lot of this stuff make us sound weird...but we're not!! :moon:

You'll learn to love it when we come to town, and you will definitely enjoy it when you visit us in College Station. I'm excited about the SEC, and look forward to learning a bit about the quirks over here...

Boys, it's gonna get fun now!
Gerry hit the nail on the head. It is not picking dates out of a hat to suit an argument, it is starting from a frame of reference that did not include ATM being the Citadel.

"This is plain and simple childish pouting because they didnt get their way. Someone told UT "no" and now they are stomping their feet back into their bedroom to play with their Legos"

^^^^ THIS ^^^^

A perfect example of texas' M.O. They threatened the same thing last year, and pulled it out again this year. I believe that the texas alum will save the day...there is no way they will put up with the notion that they are running away. That may be the mood with the current students, but they are not the ones with the money.

Not way too many roadblocks...one chickenshit lawsuit.

I really hope that our/your lawyers can kick this frivolous threat of litigation the f out of the park. Threats of counter action could make everyone stand down.

Watch out where you get your info from, 4LSU...

That doesn't make any sense at all. :yack:
Drunk - I know!

I envision everyone looking around at each other in stunned silence, a collective "WTF is going on here? Are they serious? Can they DO this?"

I hope they are all :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: right now, and early next week Baylor gets :spank: :spank: :spank:

Well, the stadium expansion plans have definatly been pushed into high gear. I have no doubt that if and when we actually become SEC members, we will be able point towards a timeline.

At this point, I would tell y'all to come to College Station - you'll enjoy the people and the trip. We'll catch up to the rest of you boys in a couple years!
The problem for Baylor is: last time it was US taxpayer money. This time, it is Baylor that has to pony up the cash.

Worst case scenario for the SEC (and for TAMU, of course) is that this becomes a long drawn out affair. I do think that no matter what evidence there is, the SEC prevails in the court of public opinion. Also, I believe that the SEC would ultimately win in a court of law.

At the end of the day, I've got to believe that this is a complete bluff by Baylor. They just don't have deep enough pockets to take it that far, with so much downside, with such slim chances for success.

But for a TRILLION??? :rotflmao:

Now, it almost makes it ok, because now it is clear it was meant to be a joke!!

This just in, of the 3800 ticket allotment set aside for Baylor, 2400 were returned to us unsold.

Best start to their season in 20yrs, way too much space in everyone's head, and there is only 1200 that will drive the 91 miles for the bad blood on the Brazos.

Baylor sucks.

Unfortunately, I agree with the above "wrench" post. A wrench has been thrown into the works. I can understand the sentiment from the SEC also, "we don't need this shite..."

It is obvious to the entire world now why we want out of this clusterfrick boondoggle of a conference now...and why we are looking towards the folks that seem to have their shite together and produce a good product.

I just wish someone would throw us a line or something and say, that's enough...we got your back. I am afraid that we don't have too many cards left to play... :banghead:
I'm ready, that's for sure. The most important thing offensively will be our stout line. The big guys up front will make things easier for us.

Bring it! Can't wait to start traveling to the SEC venues...besides LSU. Been there, not impressed in the least.
