No, but setting myself up for “Most Improved”…whenever I get around to it
I thought this was a known fact for quite some time, not news?

Or perhaps I’m thinking of their knowledge of geometry being used to figure land area/crop yields…?
For 8th grade social studies class, we had to find a WWII veteran and interview them. The person we interviewed flew in the Pacific (can't remember what his role was, or what plane but anyhow).

His take, was that the level of devastation (fire engulfing the whole city) wasn't intentional for Dresden...but after seeing it, the Allies intently tried to do the same when bombing Japan.

Similar here, but person I know was in the Marines.
Instead of killing innocent folks on Bourbon, he just smokes a lot of pot?????
Think the blue in the bottom of the pic is the Royal Sonesta…if so he was going the right way down Bourbon.

How much of that salary goes to malpractice insurance?

How much debt does a medical doctor incur prior to making that salary?

Did your insurer send you an excess coverage damages letter yet?

No, what is that?

Same carrier in this case
250k liability + 1M umbrella.

SEEMS unlikely to me that damages get to 1.25M…but also don’t know what their lawyer fees are.

I’m looking at this as a stepping-off point that my insurer is choosing to forego.
While the likelihood of me paying out of pocket seems unlikely, I’m not comfortable taking that risk with (potentially) MY money.

Legal- Stowers claim due to auto collision

ETA that I am in Texas (as was the accident)

I was involved in an accident where I was at fault, almost 2 years ago.

Got a letter addressed to me and my insurer from the other party’s legal rep. It’s a “stower claim,” which apparently means they’re asking for the full liability policy amount, and otherwise will sue for more.

My insurer aims to NOT pay this amount. While they will hire lawyer for the likely lawsuit, sounds like I could be on the hook if my insurer loses the suit and the other party is awarded more than my liability AND umbrella policy.

How do I ensure I don’t pay out of pocket if somehow the damages exceed liability + umbrella?
Heck, what about policy increases if the umbrella policy has to pay out?

Cops came out, but apparently in Houston they don’t have to file a report as long as no injuries and drivers exchange info…

How does one go about getting black box data?

I am interested in seeing if collision sensors etc from mine would be useful, but sounds like an act of God for Volvo to pull it…?

Should have gotten a dash cam

Car cut me off (crossed 2+ lanes of traffic to turn left) and I got their back left bumper. No injuries.

I has a passenger, but no other witnesses.
Even tried getting camera footage from a nearby business, but it didn’t catch anything.

Other driver claims to her insurance (we both have State Farm) that I ran into her. State Farm has said she is not liable.

Looking at 8-10k damage on my vehicle. Other than filling a collision claim and getting a dash cam (and PIIHB), is there any other recourse that the OT recommends?
