thanks florida!
So, lol, do we dare make that Early April weekend SBW??? I cannot imagine......
I've been to Rupp 6 times now. Always fun, great fans, nice town. The people are very friendly and really know basketball, great hosts and good hospitality. The blue "fans" that travel to the SEC tourney are by far the trashiest and rudest people you will see annually in any SEC environment. Its really sad if you know the actual graduates and long time fans and then have to see the dirt road trash show up and claim to be of the same cloth..... Talk about going from the country club to the trailor park.
In short, if he had the db's to go one on one, he could still be an elite DC, but if he doesn't he gives up all the points anyone could possibly score....But great guy to listen to, very entertaining!!!!

And not trying to be rude, but what did you try to look up? LOL. I typed in SEC baseball tv schedule and its look like half of the entire interweb had something on it....

And its funny, ESPN basically got their start by showing college baseball. Now its tough to find anywhere. Here is a link you can try and work on. Down on the bottom right you'll see a tv listings guide. I could only get the additional game list to open but maybe you'll have better luck!

Is there some sort of snowday provision or are ya'll playing regardless? Gonna be mighty cool out there saturday morning!!!!
They are going to be solid. But I'm guessing your new to the SEC, if you'd been here very long you would have looked at the rest of the conference and realized every team in the SEC has compairable stars on their DL's as well.....Well, not Mizzou or Kentucky.

I feel like he probably goes to Ole Miss. I also think guys like this are always good stories but very few actually make an impact. However, if our coaches like him, maybe we make a strong impression. Don't forget that article was written by Yancy so you can basically throw it out the window if accuracy and an unbiased approach is what your looking for in a recruting article...
Thats the lottery issue. Baseball gets 11.5 schollie's. Split between 25 man traveling roster and 35 home roster. So saying, only the in state kids get it, well yes, thats the issue. They are able to give every in state kid a full ride through the lottery and technically deem them to be walk-ons. Then split the 11.5 amongst the out of staters. So they can offer a kid from anywhere a close to full ride where as the schools in Mississippi and Alabama can only offer very small partial ships and still keep the in state talent. HUGE adavantage! Its not the states fault they have lotteries but the NCAA should regulate how walk ons can benefit from it. But I'm in mississippi so what do I know?

If only there was a way to build a structure with cabinets in it, maybe even a grill. If this was possible, you could take everything in Friday morning and have it ice cold for Friday nights game and stocked up to last the entire weekend. If only some place in college baseball had something like this.....
Couple of things.
No.1, Stagger Inn got caught drinking after hours. This is a stupid rule and it was employees but none the less, after closing time, if you have alcohol out, they'll get you!

2nd. The State Theater location will be very tough to make it work. First the lack of parking, you have space for 800 and parking for 40. Also, over the years, as every new "owner" has leased the space they have renovated and added to the note. In other words, the lease is now too high to actually cash flow. Starkville bars have been in a pricing war for 20 years now. Its very difficult to get more than $3 for well drinks and $2 for a beer. With that being said, from what I understand, the lease payment would be well over $10,000 a month. That means you would have to gross $30,000 per month in sales just to pay the lease. Thats no electricity, staff, bands, security, advertising, licenses, etc... Folks, those kind of sales figures aren't gonna happen in Starkville at $3 a pop. Maybe a few months of the year when we have multiple home football games, but not 12 months a year. So the only way to make it cash flow is if somnebody can afford to pay cash for the space with no debt. Then they would have a fighters chance to at least break even over the first 8-10 years. Understanding that, how many people are willing to risk 1.5 million cash just to break even after 8 years? I'm sure many others will try and lease it over the next several years but in reality they won't make it either.

So as last years 5A player of the year and runner up in Mr Alabama voting.....I guess he's not really that good afterall.....
But but but the SEC will have to conform to Mizzou, They are coming from a great conference and will compete immediatley. The football team always wins....wait....but the basketball team always.....wait.....How bout swimming? Not sure we have many of those teams.
Well Ole Miss has won 3 SEC games in the last 3 seasons so I do understand the optimism....
I think it has to be Ole Miss. They could start out 3-0 or fall as far as 1-6. I also think LSU fans should be a little concerned. Les seems to have peaked at LSU and is losing a ton from this years mediocre ( by LSU Standards) team.

Offseason discussion...

So would like to know what yall think. Lets say a 3 star from florida/texas/ cali from a 6-7 A school vs a 4 star from Alabama/ mississippi/ louisiana 3A school. Whats your thoughts?

I always tend to think you get a more developed player from the big states because the coaching, facilities, and certainly talent are so much better and deeper. OR, are the recriting scouts really that good and the stars are pretty accurate?

I don't mean this to be in any way about any specific player, just a topic to discuss. Your thoughts?

This happens at most schools. I was a roadrunner at State in the 90's and we wrote 12 per week. There was 60 of us. Any student who had his act/sat scores sent to MSU, visited on kind of visit day or had any body send us there info got on that mailing list. We also called 2 hours monthly. So yes, this is very common!
Now the Nebraska 247 guys seem to think they're getting him....This is one of the stranger stories going right now. I hadn't seen them anywhere in this mix till now....
So Mullen's the staek and freeze is the eggs....
