I don't think he bypasses MLS. He seems to have a lot of Donovan in his personality. He will be the highest paid HGP ever for Seattle, where his dad is the team doctor.

Of course as an Ole Miss fan you think the Grove is the best

Have you experienced the Grove or a Saturday Night in Baton Rouge? Even as an Ole Miss fan Tiger Stadium on a Saturday is pretty special.

Did Cagliari, Verona and Roma when I lived in Italy. I have seen towns shut down after a Juve win. Nothing I saw was "Much Better" than SEC Football as an event or spectacle. In fact I have never seen anything that touches The Grove period in sports.

Meh...I would still take a Saturday in Oxford or Baton Rouge over a neighborhood pub.

One of my favorite team names in US soccer.

It's a shame that they are a catastrophe on the field. If they don't start getting the on the field right attendance will start to drop.

They can't get a stadium deal done at the moment. At this rate, they'll have to hurry to be in at No. 24.

Even with a stadium deal done, they are looking at year 1 at Sun Life or FIU in a similar setup to Orlando this year.

Looks like that could a bar under the scoreboard on the open end. Looks pretty cool.

That's exactly what it is. World's largest outdoor bar is what they have been calling it.

CBA rumblings: MLS and the MLS Players Union aren't set to resume negotiations for another 10 days or so, but that hasn't stopped the league from floating some trial balloons to teams, in terms of possible new roster classifications. One interesting item multiple sources have mentioned is what's being called the "Super Max Designated Player." The name is something of a misnomer, as it refers to medium-sized DPs whose total maximum outlay (yearly salary plus transfer fee plus anything else) is around $750,000. With the salary cap presumed to be going up, the idea is to not spend those funds on players already in the league. A $250,00 player isn't all of a sudden going to be worth $350,000, or so the thinking goes. Rather, the intention is to spend those funds on a higher caliber of player coming into the league. There has been talk that such a slot would be in addition to the current Designated Player classification. Keep in mind, this is all very preliminary. No one I spoke to said this had come up in the CBA negotiations, but enough sources brought the topic up that at minimum, it appears to be something the league is considering.

Other rumors are decreasing roster size, but allowing the extra players to be on an MLB style up/down contract. So you can call up players when necessary from your affiliate of II team.
This would be interesting for me.

Ole Miss and Tennessee should have done this too.

Honestly not many SEC teams couldn't do it vs the Vols.
OM vs LSU easily IMO

TSIO has featured winning streaks of 11, 7, and 7 by Alabama and one streak of 7 in a row by Tennessee.

Statistically it is almost even.

Looking since 1990 both series are identical in results, LSU leads 14-10 and Bama leads 14-10

Avg Scores

LSU 26.2
OM 24.5

Bama 22.16
Tenn 18.79

Beat Auburn and State and Ole Miss could lose to LSU or Arkansas and still win all the tiebreakers.

ESPN >>> Fox

Fox Sports 1 and SEC Network both launched in around 90 Million homes.

Brando went from being the Halftime face of SEC on CBS, to whatever he is doing at fox. Going to Fox is about like getting abducted by aliens when it comes to a college sports profile in the South.
He was never the Captain...filled in once or twice...Never the Captain.

It will also house coaching and referee development.
