Love my ‘68….only 14 gal of fuel so lots of gas station stops

Something about making sammiches

My 2 are still going strong. I did buy a drain plug that supposed keeps the vacuum lock from being so strong. Have not given it a test ride.

I have used mine in direct comparison on RTIC and Yeti…and the one lacking colors does a better job.

re: Launching a bay boat solo - tips?

Yes tie long bow rope to trailer…also helps if you get pretty close to dock for stepping on boat. I solo launch my 22’ bay boat all the time.

Good luck
Very well run business operations and customer service. Only place I will go and there’s a nationwide network for flats when traveling.

Hell I like them so much, I’ll “tip” a suitcase of beer. Have 5 sets of ties and dual axle boat trailer with their tires.
How much heavier are the new rims/tires? This can also affect things….overall I think any lift will result in a very different “feel” to a stock setup. OEMs (mainly auto) spends millions of dollars on designs and setup…throw on a lift and all that goes out the window).
87K on mine, love seeing these numbers and planning on driving the wheels off.
Standard mapping card is the most used (Louisiana) out there, it’s a mini-SD card that gives you an aerial photo overlay of the base map the unit will come with….you can also make you own (YouTube) but it’s time consuming.
I’ve had Garmin and now on Lowrance. Both are good, I use more for navigation (GPS) and depth (sonar) and think 9-in screen is minimum…running a 12-in currently.

Curious about the Livescope responses but not sure it’s an inshore coastal thing. Plus I have iPilot so that keeps it from being an option for me.
V8 has a timing belt so make sure you change/document it’s been done. Also full time 4WD.

V6 has a timing chain so no need,

I had an ‘06 Sport 4WD with the V6, sold with 240K miles still going strong when I got ‘18 TRD Offroad.

Plan on needing to repaint and redo upholstery if you go this route.

Like anything….it is worth what someone is willing to pay. I agree somewhere in the mid to low 40’s…..def more than $17K LOL
Totally agree with the above…if it’s your first boat. Aluminum center console in the 20’ (+/- 2’) would be ideal.
Get a C3 or C6…..even the early C3s aren’t valued super high.
I’m always floored at trailer repair costs, if you can turn a wrench just DIY.

It is for sewer/septic risk….but vibrio is also naturally occurring so there’s always some level of risk in warm coastal waters.
