re: My Thoughts on Knoxville

So many good places, but depends on what you like.

Breweries in Knoxville - Xul, Abridged, Crafty Bastard, Pretentious, Printshop, Alliance

Food in Knoxville - Abridged Burgers, Stock and Barrel, Chivos, Vida, JC Holdway, Curious Dog, Adopo, Tako Taco

Cocktails/Whiskey - Abridged Oak Room, Peter Kern Library, Tern Club, Maple Hall (back bar), Jig and Reel

Places to watch a game - Yee-Haw, Shulz Brau

So many other options but these are our go-to's

You couldn't pay me to go to DGB...food and beer is terrible. Calhouns is overrated but the atmosphere outside of calhouns is fun on gameday.

These broadcasters sucks

Who is the cock chortling frick wagon of a color man for this broadcast?
I grew up in the area and I think pretty highly of it. If your priority is mountain cabin views I would recommend Bryson City (has a cute downtown and really close to smokies), Cashiers (literally on the continental divide, not a ton up there as it's mostly a 3rd and 4th home community with golfing resorts but gorgeous views), Brevard (close to asheville with awesome views and some pretty great beer), Sylva (really cool mainstreet with 3-4 cool breweries and cocktail bars, pretty good mountain views, in the middle of a lot of stuff e.g., Cherokee, skiing, Asheville, etc). Any of those places have tons of access to hiking. I definitely recommend hiking up in the Smokies, check out Waterrock knob, Max Patch, Graveyard fields, Gorges State Park, Panthertown Valley. Biltmore house is for sure worth a visit.

If you drink beer you should visit a few of the local breweries - Burial (Asheville), Dssolvr (Asheville), Highland (Asheville), Oskar Blues (Brevard), New Belgium (Asheville), Highland (Asheville), Innovation (Dillsboro).
If you want some good food while you're around, you mostly can't go wrong in Asheville with restaurants but some must trys are Buxton Hall, Biscuithead, Sunny Pointe Cafe, Curate, Limone, The original Tupelo Honey, The Forestry Camp, 12 Bones, Haywood Smokehouse.
Yes please. I too would love to review your sources regarding the vaccinated spreading COVID-19 and there being no evidence of outdoor transmission. Links to the articles are sufficient.

Thanks in advance

I posted this on another thread but seems relevant here.

Knoxville is new to liking college baseball so tailgating doesn't happen unless you have tickets for the porch or the patio. Fieldhouse Social is a solid sports bar near the baseball stadium. If I were you, while in Knoxville, I would spend most of my time around Market Square (tons of restaurants, bars, and breweries). Best Breweries in town are Xul and Crafty Bastard, best tacos - Chivos, burger - Stock and Barrel (also great whiskey bar), ice cream (Pheonix Pharmacy), BBQ - SweetP's Downtown Dive, Downtown Beer Bar - Knox Brew Hub, Downtown Cocktail Bar - Tern Club or Central Depot, Doughnuts - Status Dough, Pizza - Adopo (sourdough) or South Coast (traditional greasy). Knoxville is a cool place to live unless you are a UT fan, then it is full of constant disappointment.

Here's to hoping we get out of this weekend with two wins and their coach!

Geaux Tigers!

We are now better than USCw

Based on the transitive property of college football we are now better than USCw... We smoked Washington, Washington beat Stanford, Stanford beat USCw...i.e. We beat USCw...

As far as I know Tigerdistrict.com is the only place to get a Honey Badger shirt. As far as other stuff I like going to Bengals and Bandits (bengalsandbandits.com) off of Highland next to campus.
I agree completely. Plus, if Bama punts instead of attempting 40+ yd field goals, TM7 might pull off another Pat pete style return.
I didn't wait in line at all, paid my $5 and walked right through. It was by no means the best I'd ever had but good for gumpified gumbo.
It was pretty damn good, I'm not quite sure how they got all those proportions to work out, especially with the wild variety of meat they used but they did well.
