They are there almost every night and they definitely go on the WMA sometimes.
re: Inspection sticker elimination bill just failed at the Capitol

Yet everyday I see cars with fake Texas license plates. How do I know they're fake? Because in Texas you're supposed to have front and rear plates, but these cars only have rear ones. So they have no LA registration, no LA inspection sticker and I'm sure no insurance either.
Tackling the Texas license plate invasion would actually be something worthwhile for the LA legislature to do, but they'd rather spend time passing bills renaming a bridge somewhere the "Joe Blow Memorial Bridge" or banning THC products to protect some non-existent "children".

There are very few attorney's in Louisiana who are actual experts in estates and trusts. Many claim that they are but in reality are only experts in cutting & pasting cookie cutter forms. They get away with it because most of the time the estates & trusts don't go into effect until many years down the road and so any mistakes stay hidden until then.

I totally agree with op, that if there is a law against the OMV denying him a license, then they should abide by it. I absolutely hate when governmental entities make up their own rules (ex: Medicaid & Obamacare) and how it's impossible to get them to change because no one can really explain to you or understands themselves why they have such rules. But I'm not completely convinced that not having a SS # will exempt him from having to pay into SS. That's a much bigger hill to climb and I'm not aware of any laws that would back up his stance.

They should let teachers have stun guns for this very reason. It would safely stop a fight very quickly. The trashy parents probably wouldn't agree, but then their kids shouldn't be getting in fights at school.

A hard start kit is $30, a soft start is $380. Soft starts are nice to have but not really needed unless you want to run it off a generator. I wouldn't pay $1,000 for it. A hard start kit is really just a band aid.
If you have mold in your ducts, it's most likely from an air leak. I wouldn't put a $1,200 scrubber in unless you were specifically looking to do it for allergies or something.

If you have a license but no car, can you even get insurance to cover yourself (in LA)?
Say you have 3 cars but 4 drivers in your household. How does that fourth person get insured?

This happens more than what people know. I knew a team flying in kids from South America to play in tournaments. Flying kids in from California, Texas, etc. was a monthly deal
What age group is this happening in? Please tell me they're juniors or seniors in high school.

How much do you think it would cost to hire some off-duty national guard troops to patrol the french quarter all the time? It seems like it would be money well spent.
For example, let's say you hired 30 troops and paid them $200 a night (8 hours), so that's $6,000 a night times 365 equals $2,190,000. Now if you did that 24/7, it'd be $6,570,000 annually. Seems like that would be worth it, especially considering how much they spent on LED lights for the bridge. Now let's scale that up to 300 troops, which would really make a difference. That would be about $65,000,000 a year. In reality though you could probably get away with two 8 hour shifts, which would be $43,800,000 per year to keep the french quarter safe. You could implement it as a tax. If there's 390,000 people living in Orleans Parish, that would be about $11.25 per person annually. Although if you did it as a sales tax in the french quarter, it would probably pay for itself with the increase in tourism because it's now safe downtown.

Buy whichever ones are foam filled. I always have a pile of decoys that need to be repaired.

I edc a Microstream. The USB rechargeable model is pretty awesome with high & low settings, but the standard AAA model can also take a 10440 lithium battery.

re: New hemp THC products could be outlawed in Louisiana in proposed bill.

The sponsor of the bill actually said that they have no documented cases of a store selling these to minors. He also said maybe we should table this bill until next year, but the righteous politicians passed it anyway in like the last 5 minutes of the legislative session. Louisiana politics at it's finest.
