Franchise agreements are so skewed in favor of the franchisor, that they can basically do whatever they want to their franchisees. I just went through this and no matter how right you are, they can always find a way to screw you if they want to. They have all the power and it's pretty sickening.
A lot of franchised companies are also dealing with corporate getting bought out by private equity. Then everything becomes about growing as fast as they can and their turnover becomes atrocious. You become a very small cog in a very large wheel.

You might have to get quotes from a bunch of HVAC companies before you find one that actually knows what their doing and actually gives a shite. 90% of them don't.
With floors that old, I'd be worried that the closed cell foam is going to cause flooring issues. I hope not, but Paul Lagrange always has people calling into his home improvement show because of buckled floors after sprayed insulation. I'd want to get the HVAC issues figured out first in case you need to add any returns or whatever else under the house. Probably too late at this point.
We just rescued 4 babies out of a hollow tree in my yard in Metairie. They have a couple of wildlife rehabilitators down here that take them.
Got to play with a one about toddler age one time and it was pretty cool. The lady said they are unbelievably mischievous and get into everything.

What do y'all think is going to happen with other space stocks, such as ASTS? I'm guessing they will go up in advance of the ipo and I'm contemplating selling my shares right before. Then I can lock in my gains and sit out for a bit and wait for things to settle down. Am I thinking about it wrong?
No matter what you do, get a soft starter for your HVAC. Micro-Air is the top brand with good customer service, but I've also seen a few new brands on the market recently. It can get your wattage requirements down to where most houses with one air conditioner can run off of a large portable generator (10,000-15,000 watts).
I will say what Stellar is doing in Bermuda is interesting. It looks like they're trying to make it an alternative currency for the country. The reasoning is that they're paying 3-5% in credit card processing fees to a company outside of Bermuda. They want to keep that money in country and I guess using Stellar will let them do that. This is the first time using crypto has actually made sense to me (other than using it to buy drugs).
I am curious though why they didn't pick a more stable coin that doesn't really fluctuate much, but I'm sure there's a reason that's probably above my level of comprehension.

Crap, I don't know how I missed this one. I've been trying to stay on top of y'alls recommendations. TD-Money has been incredibly helpful (and profitable) for me the last few months. Thanks guys!

How do you go public with a company that has 5 million in sales (ELVA in 2018, no telling what it had in 2008), or am I reading that wrong?

I know their real potential is in commercial applications, but has anyone used their song identifying app recently? It used to be awesome, but now it has become unusable. It just flat out doesn't work anymore. I can't bring myself to buy it because of this.
And it's down 10% in after hours trading.
Doing it yourself in small claims court is probably your only option.
I think they get away with a lot of their crap because they're in international waters and there's really no one in Antarctica to stop them.

We need more details about the club in order to gauge the level of demand. Like is this a club on the Mississippi river with thousands of acres of bottomland hardwood forest that also has a little duck hunting or is it a pine tree club with some food plots and a pipeline?

I'm confused. Explain this to me like I'm 5.

I've hit the point where I'm capable of growing about half of the produce that Mrs. Axe and I consume in a year. We're on pace (it's a learning process) to grow, harvest and gather 100% of our fruits and veggies by 2028 witha bit of a surplus. It can be done. Just four generations ago, our ancestors all did this. We've just forgotten it.
We're spoiled by convenience and they're literally poisoning us through our own mistrust and complacency. It's time to break the mold and reclaim some forgotten knowledge. Study some stuff the permaculture hippies are into, and realize that even in the city you can grow plenty of food in five gallon buckets.
Can you post a how to in the Home/Garden forum?
I swear no matter who runs against Landry, that's who I'm voting for. It can be a liberal black women who identifies as a giraffe, they got my vote.

In S LA it may already be too late to use 2 4 D, the bottle I use says not to use on Bermuda once daily temps are over 80.
This weekend it actually looks like temperatures might drop one last .
Is this the Edgewater Inn by chance?
I have two rabbits that you can have (one or both). My daughters (twins, no pics) are going away to college in August and obviously not taking them with them.
re: Do you ever worry about the apocalypse happening while you’re still alive?
Posted by Wilson on 4/12/26 at 11:32 pm to Globetrotter747
The Apocalypse will be a massive solar storm that takes out all satellites, most electronics and the power grid, which could take months to years to rebuild. With power out and no grocery stores or medicine, it won't take long for society to descend into chaos. It happened in 1859 with the Carrington event and there's no reason to think it won't happen again in the foreseeable future. There used to be a tv show with almost this exact same scenario named Revolution. I was very interesting to watch and think about what would really happen if it actually took place.
