At a minimum he would be a monster special teams coverage guy.

Agreed. But if we are looking for someone to get in the QB room, he has some skills. Good size (6-2, 205) and speed (runs a 10.4).

Luke Moga - Oregon to the Portal

Hayes Fawcett X Post

No idea if LK recruited previously. But it is a new QB with the skill set he likes.
Right. Emile was a 3 star with decent offers from mostly G5 (some Power P4 offers). (6-2, 210). I think he should be on the depth chart. Likely your QB3 with a non-zero chance of playing if we only sign 2 QBs.

SIAP Kick/Punt Returner

I believe we need a reliable kick and punt returner for next year. Would any of the WRs we signed fit that role?

We have had reliable hands the last few years. But I recall having problems the punt returns not too long ago. Cant have that be an issue.

Anyway I am assuming some of the WRs will play ST on coverage as well. But thought I would ask who we think our returners would be.
I think that is a good point. If you like your starters/2 deep, it makes sense to sign these type of players if you think they can contribute. Low cost and creates no friction with current players who may look to the portal if they think their spot is at risk.

Dude can play ST. and provide depth if there are injuries. And if he outplays the guys ahead of him on the depth chart, so be it. But signing him won't cause one of your current DBs to hit the portal.

Just run the ball Mario
I think Demond's attorney will have a few good facts going for him (in addition to any prior precedent he can cite).

Demond's agent when he signed the NIL agreement in question was Doug Hendrickson of Wasserman. Doug Hendrickson is also the agent for Jedd Fisch (UW head coach). Wasserman has been Fisch's agent since at least when he took the Arizona head coaching job (long standing and lucrative relationship).

So Demond signs an agreement on the advice of Doug Hendrickson that Washington now cites has unlimited damages? Seems like there was some poor advice provided by the agent.

One could argue that there was a conflict of interest that was heavily in favor of the longer standing and to date more lucrative relationship with the Washington head coach.

I would bet this new attorney for Demond will make sure that this point (which has not been widely discussed) will be made in court and in front of TV cameras (as Washington wants to make Demond out to be the bad guy).

Is it correct that the form of this agreement is signed off on by the big 10 conference. That would suggest Oregon would have a hard time competing for Williams unless they want to go against their own conference.

He has played 4 games right? Ready to start at LSU?

Ok. Say Leavitt is off the table. Would you be interested in him?

Makes sense. He can upgrade his situation and still start. Was thinking the chance to backup and maybe start year 2 at LSU with Lane could be attractive.

Could be solid depth for one year and possibility to start year 2 may be enough to interest him.

What happens when S Carolina has 3 losses with 3 or 4 games to go. Do those players still play? Do they still get their money even if a 5 loss team still has their Clemson game to play and they sit out?
I’m ok with that. Just make sure the nil money is there
Schumann coming too? He may be a few years away from a shot at HC job in the SEC
Does that suggest that whoever hires Franklin may have a few good players follow him?
1. Offer Franklin a lowball deal (let Penn St pay him)
2. Use money saved to grab the top players from their decommits, keep our recruits and portal in studs
3. Profit

I know coaching changes board. But thought it was appropriate response to the number of Penn St decommits. Actually, I assume most of the decommits for Penn State are from that region and will end up at other Big 10 schools.
Don't trust that. He can always change his mind. In the meantime, signing days pass and coaches you could have hired may no longer been available.
