re: Septic Cave In
Posted by jbama225 on 4/18/24 at 9:53 am
I am experiencing the same situation with our house, that was built in 2009.
A few weeks ago, our yard had standing water, so we requested service to address the issue. Upon inspection, they found that our pump tank had collapsed and our lift station also needed to be replaced ($2500).
While they were working on that, I requested them to go ahead and pump our septic tank ($300). Once they began that, they found out that the top of our septic tank had begun to corrode and beginning to cave in. Additionally, around 10-15% of it was located beneath the pool deck we built a couple of years back so instead of replacing the tank, they would fill it in and move a new one further out in the yard ($5200).
I called my insurance agent to see if my homeowners policy would cover any of this... He basically told me that he was advising me one way or another, however, insurance won't cover anything that is considered a repair, an upgrade, or to move the tank and that if I filed a claim my premiums would go up 25% over the next 3-5 years, even if my claim is denied.
So it looks this will cost me around 8 grand. To add further aggravation to this, they got my system in running condition by replacing the pump tank, but they are fully booked and cannot schedule the septic tank replacement until mid-June. Therefore, my yard will be torn up all spring and will also be torn up again to start the summer. Overall, this has been a pretty shitty situation (pun intended).

Thank Rich Paul for that.

SGA and Shamet do something that the Lakers youngins don't.... and that is actually space the floor.
Zion will have a much easier time if they surround him with shooters. SGA and Landry are both just one year into their rookie deals and they would be perfect fits to grow along side of Zion.
I'd take those two, Miami's pick, and another 1st over LA's offer. Gallo (for salary matching purposes and expiring) and either Lou/Harrell would just be sweetener and trade pieces if things go off the rails early next season.

Is the $30 trade-in offer available at the Baton Rouge Target?

Oddly enough I saw one a few weeks ago when my wife conned me into going to Tuesday Morning (on Perkins) after we left Burgersmith. I have no idea if it's still there, but it may be worth checking out.

Has anyone been to the BR store to verify this?
