re: Boutte: “we didn’t respect UCLA as much as we should have…”

Two things: 1.) This is 100% on the coaches. Demand the team respect the opponent. 2.) Not sure if this is an LSU thing, but it happens to us so much. We think that because the opponent is from this place or in that conference then this will be an easy win. It seems this lunacy will never go away.

Pitching is key! Glad you mentioned it as a con. Not one stat in the introductory article regarding his team's past performances mentioned pitching AT ALL. Based on his record, LSU will have a good offense, but you can't win championships without pitching. Like many of you, I'll be watching closely to see what he does to compensate for an obvious weakness.

This is the wrong question to ask. Aranda was leaving regardless. The question is who would have been a better hire than Pelini? For me, I can't think of a better, safer hire. We have history and experience with this guy...and he was outstanding when he was here previously. What evidence is there that he won't be outstanding again?

This one is great, but I think we're going to go with a different design. I polled several people and this design looks a lot like some of Najee Richardson's Phoenix designs. I don't think the producers would allow me to do that considering how popular he is on the show. The wings we're going to use look more like the wings you see pilots wear. Thank you for the input! :geauxtigers:

Yep. That's me. Hoping to hear I've been asked back for the Season 12. Should find out at the end of February or beginning of March.

Cool. Thankfully I was accepted through the application process so I didn't have to wait in the walk on line. I did well, narrowly missing city finals. Grip gave out 2/3 of the way through the fifth obstacle (coconut climb). I appreciate the feedback. I'll work on that and post again.

I competed on American Ninja Warrior last year, but am not that happy with the t-shirt design I had to use. I only had a few weeks between the time I was picked to compete and the competition so I ended up going with a stock graphic from Custom Ink. My ninja name is Flying Tiger. I've seen some amazing talent on this board and was wondering if any of you have a flying tiger graphic that I could use for my shirt if I get picked to compete again this year? :geauxtigers:

The Fiesta Bowl announcers agree with your evaluation. I don't recall the exact number, but they felt LSU's line was nowhere near good and they still manage to move the ball.

It's clear that's the way Greedy is thinking. That's why people are so upset.
BTW...this is the dumbest statement ever. Sure, Greedy could have gone to a different school and succeeded, but without a university team for him to play on he wouldn't be where he is today. That team was LSU and he abandoned them. LSU gave him the platform he needed to be recognized. Owe them nothing my arse.

Don't need to see, read, think about any of Greedy's comments. He's abandoned the team and I couldn't care less what he has to say.

The scholarship is awarded under the condition that you play football. Not playing is in a sense defaulting on that agreement. You always hear the players sitting out say they're making a business decision, well this would allow them to make a business decision well before the bowl game. Don't like the terms of the scholarship, then don't sign and be a walk-on
I hadn't thought about that, but I agree. Seems fair. If you want to leave at the end of the year and allow your scholarship to go to someone else then so be it, but to just say "I'm done" right before the bowl game is just crappy for his team mates and a breach of the agreement made when he accepted the scholarship.

The risk of injury is the same if not less than game 1. BS on sitting out a big game for your team and the school standing behind you.
Agree 100%. Why not sit out the last two games or the last three games? What's the difference? If you committed to play for the team, then play for the team. I liked watching Greedy play, but he's now put LSU and "his former team" in a bind at a very critical time in the season.

Agree. It's ALWAYS the same with LSU fans, thinking our opponent is not worthy to be on the field with LSU. I want to ask the question "when will our fans wise up and stop being so irrational?", but I already know the answer to that.
Book it. LSU will have to fight for this victory. I believe LSU will win, but they are going to have to earn it.

re: Has Burrow peaked? Serviceable but doesn’t seem to be getting better imo.

No. He needs better O line play and play calling. Last two game have been against two of the toughest defenses out there. As long as the team didn't $h!t the bed like our fans did after Bama they will destroy Arkansas.

Former walk on here to share my thoughts on Moffitt: The spring and summer work outs were the most physically and mentally challenging things I've been through to date.
The old school method of working harder, but not necessarily smarter may be in play here. There's a hell of a lot more evidence that timing of workouts/recovery/nutrition is much more important that just busting your arse to exhaustion (I realize I'm oversimplifying this).
What I know for sure is the end result is clear, our guys don't look as fast/explosive as some of the truly elite lines. Maybe it's recruiting or maybe it's conditioning/training, but my bet is on a combination of both.

Is this your first year watching college football? Let me break it down for you: LSU is going to come out looking a little sloppy and hungover/banged up from the game last week.
This.
Historically LSU struggles in games like this. I think it's because of the huge emotional letdown from losing to Bama every year. But whatever the cause, this always seems to happen. If Coach O can get the team's heads on straight and forget about last week he will have achieved something no coach in recent memory has been able to do for LSU. LSU CAN dominate the Hogs, but will they? It's all between the players ears at this point. I hope they are mentally ready and take care of business.
