LSUbutt — you make good points. I’m just wondering if we are seeing so much of Mackinnon because CMM wants to see what’s he got with him.
But if the shots don’t start falling, and by game six or seven he’s still getting that much PT, then I stand corrected.
It’s the one real puzzler with CMM every year — the rotations.

Wow what a spin move. Great body control from Reece.

And now here comes the backups. I spoke too soon.

Here’s where CMM drives me crazy. We are up by twenty and Nwoko, Thomas and Sutton still in there?

Yes 1-2 is encouraging but a very small sample. Hey he’s a frosh, we’ve got plenty of time. But I don’t see anyone else that could play back up point yet. King? Or Sutton maybe? I’d rather have Sutton playing off ball offense.

So it’s my first time seeing Reece. I love the motor and effort. But can he develop an outside shot next year? He looks like he’s not ready for prime time yet but there are plenty of games to get him ready as a 5-10 mins back up in the SEC.

Nice pass from Mac, he seems to have good vision

I softly disagree on Mackinnon. He’s had some wide open looks — I mean stop, set and shoot with no one in his face — tonight in the first half and missed em.
That’s could be just the streak or lack of confidence. Who knows? Too early to tell

Mwoko
Thomas
Sutton
All need to play 30 mins a game, right? That’s the big three on this team.

On the downside, that was a lot of pretty open looks very close to the rim from Alcorn. CMM needs to tighten that up.
Yes, this looks like the best team I’ve seen so far from CMM.
Because of the stupid Disney fight, this is the first game I’ve gotten to see. Love the hustle on this team and the size and length, too

Sutton is fun to watch, that was some great hustle plus some nice extra passes
re: LSU Basketball… big game @Kentucky tonight. Who’s hyped?!

That makes me feel better Drizz. I’ll get to YT TV just in time to watch us storm back to tie the game only to lose by fifteen.
Despondent. Depressed. Disenchanted.

Still stuck in airplane but doesn’t sound like I’m missing anything :( god will this season ever end
One more thing. I don’t control whether Coach Wade comes or goes or Coach Mac comes or goes. I literally have no input so I don’t really care. (Control what you can control and all that.)
All I know is that everything I see suggests Coach Mac gets another year to turn this around.
Or better said, he has only one more year to turn this around.
Clock is ticking…
Now what I’d really like to know is who should come back, who should stay, who do we think will develop, who should be getting more playing time, etc. That’s what I like reading.

I’ll bite even though my brain says not to.
CMM has shown me a few things. Not enough for me to be happy. But I like our offensive sets, especially the high screens that flow into other plays like pick and pops, or bump screen that lead to dumps to the bigs. Also, the development of the freshmen has been fun to watch, especially R Williams.
I like the fact that we never seem to be out of it. if we could just fix those damn droughts. It’s those damn infuriating runs that we give up, over and over, that have cost us in every almost every loss.
I like coach Mac. But I’m giving him one more year to find a true PG. I can’t take another year of lazy passes. And he has one more year to figure out better rotations. Honestly, that’s my only two complaints — I don’t get the lazy passing and the weird rotations of the last two years. (Both of those I bet are the reasons for the big runs).
As an aside, the lack of success for me is mitigated by the fact that the SEC is so frackin’ strong now. From 2013-2018 (and really longer than that) the SEC mid teams were the laughing stock of the big conferences. I’m not making any excuses though. Baseball and football are tough in the SEC and we don’t make excuses, we just expect to overcome and win.
Coach Mac has next season to get it done, or — despite the fact that I like his attitude as a coach — we gotta move on.

Yeah Drizz isn’t it weird that it didn’t feel like a blow out at all … yet it is. We really did miss a lot of wide open shots tonight. And never could get Carter involved.
