Rap is Ultra Crap performed by musical wannabees that don't have the intelligence and patience to learn how to play a musical instrument!
people like good stories not musical talent.
If it was about pure talent on an instrument, every halftime show and pop song would be jazz or classical.
Rap is a great way to tell intricate stories about the human condition
Country music does the same thing. It's the same 3-4 chords done over and over on an acoustic gtr that most people can pick up. It's about the stories that they are telling.
I didn't grow up on a farm so it's hard for me to relate to Morgan Wallen in the same way most country folk don't relate to NY gangster rap.
Let's not say people are unintelligent because we don't understand their art.

The team has literally taken the mentality of the headcoach and have become the softest bunch of cucks in the league.
Man maybe I'm just seeing things different, but we say and all know this is a players league.
The coach only has a small amount of impact on winning. If your top 2 guys can't stay healthy you're gonna loose a lot of fricking games. And we had 7 of our top 8 out for a long time. Stars and superstars win games, not coaches. See Coach Pop during vs the post Duncan Era...
Willie and Griff are not the problem. They are fine, but have run into an unlucky stretch. They will probably end up being the scapegoats, but Zion is the fricking problem. If he was healthy all year, Willie and Griffs jobs wouldn't be in question.
Without Zion but with the rest of the team relatively healthy, we're a low end playoff team. With Zion plus the rest of the team unhealthy, we're a bottom 5 team. With the whole team healthy we're a top 4-6 seed.
All of those scenarios are player dependent. Not coach dependent.
Maybe we do need some fresh blood, but Willie has been the best performing coach we've had since Monty.

Really just think we need a star player who gives a frick

Zion is to blame.
Homie needs to be doin yoga every morning and eating like Tom Brady if he wants to stay in the league
He's gotta learn that yes other players don't have to be as strict as he does. His body can't take the wear and tear of the league like other guys can and he has to recognize this.

I agree. But Green is no Naji and I love Jose but there are times when Boston and Hawkins are just better.
Definitely better on offense. Jose a dog on D tho despite his size. He's a big plus offensively when he's hittin his 3s and has guys who he can facilitate to.
He struggled this year getting off to a rough start shooting, but he had that 7 3 game and felt like he was getting into rhythm. Typically he's not the focal point of the defense like he was having to be with everybody out.
Boston and Hawk are definitely what we need with the depleted roster because they can manufacture buckets, but with the whole team healthy Willie will get Jose run if nothing more than to pick up the energy for a stretch.

What exactly are they building? They’ve regressed since losing in the first round in 6 games in Willie’s first year from a playoff standpoint. And again this team is NEVER HEALTHY.
Felt like we've been building a positive culture built around defense and effort in a way I've never seen us have. He wants a roster of wings who can switch 1-5 on defense like the old golden state championship teams. He's made the post season even if that is the play-in in all 3 years.
I've been a fan and was there watching in the darkest of times. I remember hoping for Vasquez or QPon to have a career game for us to even have a fighting chance. CP and AD forcing their way out. Eric Gordon being the savior...
This rn sucks but it really isn't anywhere near that bad. We got a whole slew of frickin ballers who are also great locker room guys. I know everybody is impatient with the Saints being so arse as well and DA getting canned, but at least we got a a light at the end of the tunnel.
David Griffin and Willie Green - Is this their fault?

Idk about y'all but I really like the team that Willie and Griff built.
With the emergence of Missi, this team if they were healthy had a high likelihood of being a top 4 seed.
Murray
Herb
BI
Zion
Missi
CJ
Murphy
Hawkins
Jose
Theis
Boston
That is a really good fricking team.
I see all this talk of fire Willie and am just confused how 6/8 of your best players being out and expecting to win with a G-League roster is reasonable to ask of any coach.
Willie has the correct qualities to be a winner. The whole roster believes in him and he brings out the best in his players. Herb, Jose and Trey all resigning below their market prices to be a part of this is a perfect reflection of the culture he's built. Yeah, it ended poorly with Z going down last year but we were still a playoff team.
And for Griff. WTF did some of y'all want him to do. The Murray deal seemed like a great move til he broke his hand day 1. How is that Griff's fault. He sured up the PG spot, resigned Trey and Jose, drafted our potentially starting C for the next good while. What could he have possibly make Zion more healthy. And the one guy we were clamoring to trade away is the only mfer out there fighting.
Gonna certainly be interesting to see, but this is an extremely unlucky personnel issue. Sometimes things aren't always fair, but really hope the organization doesn't destroy everything that's been building. This team when healthy can be really really good.
Am I the only one here who doesn't think we have to blow it up?

This might be a situation kinda like the Saint's O-line this year where everbody says we're gonna suck, but the team knows what they got more than we do.
Karlo and Yves might show out :dunno:

re: STEVE KERR being criticized for his rotations in Olympics . Sound familiar ?
Posted by aswemajor on 8/3/24 at 10:53 am
It's an impossible job to do the rotations for the olympic team. So many good players and if the guy you picked is having a slightly down game, there are very capable players on the bench who could have had a better game.
That doesn't mean they would have, but people love that magical upside.
The coach can't predict exactly how players might perform night in and night out and they have to make the best estimate they can. As long as we win gold all will be forgiven

Pels Wolves series would be so fun.
Picturing bitchass Gobert somehow tryna pick fights w Jose and then Jose getting switched on to him and locking him down. SKC going wild. :dude:
