9th Circuit Court Ruling

quote:

The common carrier exemption in section 5 of the FTC Act carves out a group of entities based on their status as common carriers. Those entities are not covered by section 5 even as to non-common carrier activities. Because AT&T was a common carrier, it cannot be liable for the violations alleged by the FTC. The district court’s denial of AT&T’s motion to dismiss is reversed, and the case is remanded for entry of an order of dismissal.
The Beastcast is really good (especially now that Dan has joined GB East). I almost prefer it to the Bombcast at this point.

This is bullshite. You had one agency empowered with protecting our internet privacy, the FTC. Obama's administration assigned that authority to the FCC as well. Two agencies doing the same thing. The House voted to take it back from the FCC is all. Everything else you hear about it is spin, and wishful thinking.

Sorry, but this is wrong. The FTC can regulate internet companies like Facebook. ISPs (AT&T, Verizon, Cox, Suddenlink, etc.) are classified as common carriers (like phone companies) so they can't be regulated by the FTC.

These ISPs argue that they should be treated just like internet based technology companies, but most people don't have a choice of who provides their internet service. If I don't like how Facebook or Google use my personal data, I can choose to use a different service. If I don't like how my ISP uses my personal data, I'm screwed. Plus, your ISP knows WAY more about you than any of these other companies could ever hope to know. Your ISP knows what sites you visit, how often you visit them, when you wake up, where you shop, your financial info, where your kids go to school, etc.

This issue should go beyond party affiliation. Lack of privacy is bad for all of us.

I think people are forgetting about Tashawn Bower.

I agree. I know we'll have better interior lineman than Wisconsin did, but in Aranda's D, the linebackers get the majority of the TFLs and sacks. From what I've read, it looks like Bower is slated to be the OLB opposite Key. Schobert and Biegel put up big stats in these positions for Wisconsin.

The Troy game was 50 degrees.

The wind chill must have been hellacious, then. That's the coldest game I can remember.

It probably didn't help that we sucked for most of the game, and I had no reason to cheer. I definitely warmed up by the end of the game. :geauxtigers:

I am amazed more and more how our fanbase is so quick to elevate players to greatness based on how they played in one game.

Seriously, Ford actually played and contributed more during the regular season. He showed that he could be a big play back with power and speed. Ware had a nice game against aTm.

I like Ware, but what has he done in games to prove that he is a significantly better option than Ford?

How in the world can people still have the opinion that JJ "doesn't help but doesn't hurt you"?!

People acknowledge that he had a bad year, but, shite, he was a terribly inaccurate turnover machine last year.

Meanwhile, JL was thrown into the absolute worst situations, helped the team win games, and people still say he is the more turnover-prone QB. Hell, a lot of people don't even want him to have a chance to see the field!
Guys, I think we all know the answer to this question is simply Cam Newton.

reed beat him out

Negative. Reid and Loston play two different positions. Loston was behind Hatcher and Reid was behind Taylor. Both played a lot and played well.
same here... just audio :banghead:

I would rather be 26th in defense nationally and 40th nationally in offense.

Unfortunately we are great on defense, and bottom of the barrel on offense. You can't win football games being one dimensional.

We just had our highest offensive output of the year. You fix the turnovers and penalties, and this offense will be able to do enough to win games.

I can't seem to get audio through my HDMI connection.

If I remember correctly, this requires a special SPDIF connection from your motherboard to the graphics card. Otherwise, you have to hook up sound separately from your audio outs on your motherboard or sound card.

Most TVs nowadays have a special "PC mode." Otherwise, even though you are outputting the proper resolution, the TV will not display it correctly. You should look through your manual to see if you have this option.

If you want something that "just works" in the meantime, your HDTV should display 1360x768 perfectly without changing settings. There might be some input lag though.

ETA: Your TV should have a "Just Scan" option in the picture menu under aspect ratio.
Here are some stats I've compiled for both 08 and 09:

As you can see, JJ gets sacked about 3 times as often as JL. Despite that, he still throws TDs more often, throws WAY less interceptions, and he even averages more yards per attempt. This was with an extremely less productive ground game. If the o-line plays better, and JJ can get the ball out quicker, it appears that he is the better option at QB.
As has been mentioned previously, switching from G to N will give you nothing more in terms of gaming. The bottleneck is your ISP for throughput. The only advantage you can gain is the switch from wireless to wired to reduce latency. I wouldn't waste the money if this is your only reason for upgrading your wireless router.

60 isn't low especially if that is your minimum. I think that is about right for a 9800GT.

In my experience the g18s have a longer effective range than the spas. You have to take into account the pump action vs constant spray.

My shotgun is a true secondary anyways. I'm all about the ARs and SMGs. Shotgun only comes out in close quarters combat.

I agree that g18s in the hands of a good player are more deadly than when used by noobs. More power to you if that's how you like to lay down the pwn. They just annoy the shite out of me.

This kinda gets back to my original question. Maybe it IS worse on PC than consoles. I see SO MANY people running around with them, and then there's the tubes... OMG THE TUBES :banghead:

quote:

aww cmon bruh now you say this... You should be expecting the mortar by now man... If people are always going to run to the same spot (A/C) 9/10 times, and that spot can be hit by mortar, and they keep dying, its their fault. not the tuber.

That I understand. I'm talking about random tubes all over the map from multiple dudes that have some clue of what they are doing. You're just going to die randomly and there is nothing you can do about it.

I also need to mention that I play pretty much all domination so the tubers know exactly where to drop a bomb when losing points. Tubing is pretty lame in domination.
