He didn’t fit in because everyone hated him. Tax collectors were agents of the Roman Empire, known to cheat people out of their wealth to enrich their own. This is why Jesus sitting down with him and other tax collectors was so significant, that Jesus was a friend of sinners. In the show it portrays Jesus as a friend of someone that just had a hard time fitting in. Which I’m not saying he isn’t… but that’s not exactly accurate for Matthew and why God revealed this to us in scripture because we ourselves are sinners, and he is a friend to us who believe.

This is one of the major flaws of the show, that relies more on feelings than biblical facts and truths.

Yeah because how else would they give him reason to critique Jesus’ sermon on the mount during his speech preparation? Nowhere is that presented in scripture.

I will not watch or recommend it, and warn anyone to exercise discernment. It gets a number of things wrong in scripture, some very much more significant than others.

Watched a shuttle launch from the causeway in KSC. It’s worth it if you can go. It’s about 7 miles from the pad.

Finally watched this with my younger kids. The kids liked it, and I’m shocked how much I enjoyed it given the amount of hate I hear about it, granted mostly from people that haven’t even seen it

What’s not to like…. Better than most of the Disney rubbish that’s been released in the last several years.

For starters, I already knew how to tie shoes, so that made teaching them much easier.

We don’t watch a ton of series due to time, but in the past she’s really liked Battlestar Galactica, NCIS (Original and LA), CSI (Original), Firefly and Gilmore Girls.
