Worked with a vet right out of college, early 00s. I asked him about it and all he did was shake his head, and said no. I never asked anyone associated with Vietnam about their service again.
I like watching the silent videos of walking through cities in 4k on YT. One of the night ones of Tokyo has put a strong desire to visit, and makes me wish I lived there.

Same, so x3? True story… I’ve had five unrelated people tell me I look like him. I don’t get it but apparently it’s a thing.

Went to a student camp a couple of years ago in Tennessee, and for helping to clean up a nursery, they gave each student a tiny container with one pennywort in it

Sean Payton in The Gap store in Mandeville, early in his first season as coach of the Saints. Was in there with his wife, and several other people in there said nothing to him as he patiently stood alone and waited. No cell phones yet to scroll, just standing looking around. They got in line behind us at the checkout counter, and as we left I turned, shook his hand and told him he’s doing a good job. Before pics, before cell phone cameras were a thing, I would have had to go to my car to get our pocket camera as wife and I were passing through from sightseeing across the lake.

The level of anonymity he had right then was interesting to me.

4oz of roundup and 1.5oz 2-4d per gal of water will nuke everything

but the sheer retardation of the sequence beginning with the space quicksand and ending with Rey standing in exactly the right spot to hold up the dagger to find yet another McGuffin - puts it over the top. That is easily the dumbest shite I've ever seen in a major, $300 mil. tentpole film.

I can find a stupid scene in many movies, even good ones. But TLJ set this in motion.

I’ll add:

John Carter

Edge of Tomorrow lol

That was a highly underrated and unpublicized movie.

For 5 (and up, even), Belle and Sebastian on YouTube. 80s cartoon from Japan dubbed in English. Was my favorite show in the early 80s.

Look up the playlist by Nick Johnson, he converted all of the episodes to HD.

Will be me in a few months after the mortgage is paid off. There are some trees around but at this point, it’s worth the risk to me to not pay.

re: Manga recs

I’ve never read any. Only after watching Nausicaa that I saw that the film was only 1/4 of the manga it was based on (also written by Miyazaki). So thought I’d check it out.
