If Kiffin was still at Tennessee, I'm guessing they'd be the favorite to win the SEC East this season. So I'd say it was possible.

It's still too early in his career to get an accurate gauge on how good of a head coach he is, though.
Spread offense vs. West Coast offense? That's an easy one. Auburn.

The only offense worse than the West Coast is the wishbone. *shudders* *1998 flashbacks*

You don't even have to look at the rosters to know that Alabama will have the best DL. No way USC, LSU or Florida has recruited better than Saban on the defensive line.

It's ridiculous that Oklahoma and Georgia are in the top 5 while LSU and Alabama is not.

We've won 7 conference titles in the last 11 years. No one in the SEC can match that.

I don't think there is anyway DGB escapes Norman

I hope you're right, but we normally miss out on top receivers like him. Our passing is always good, though, regardless of who we sign.

Landry Jones is so overrated it's not even funny.

We'll see. I'll bet he finishes higher in the Heisman voting than Andrew Luck.
Not really surprising when you look at Petrino's history. Notice in Mallet's scouting report that it says, "Poor NFL QB Pedigree (Bobby Petrino)." His quarterbacks always plummet in the draft.

NFL teams don't really care about off-the-field issues -- just look at some of the players already drafted last night. They care about on-the-field issues, which Mallet has (along with every other quarterback coached by Petrino).

Mallet does have a lot of physical talent, though, so he has a chance of being a good NFL QB at some point.

Look at Jason White.

I'm probably being a homer here, but I think Jason could've been at least a career backup in the NFL had he been healthy. His knees were really, really bad.

He's an OU lock IMO

Gunner Kiel and Dorial Green-Beckham. We'll be unstoppable the next 4 years.
Oklahoma: Rhett Bomar
Florida State: Dan Kendra

Cant wait to see him audible

Oklahoma uses the same type of offensive system that Auburn uses, and it didn't take Sam Bradford long at all to adapt.

And many NFL QBs don't audible. Here's what NFL OC Cam Cameron said last year: "Audibling is overrated. It really is. I mean, it's good to talk about, and I could sit here and let you guys think we do all this audibling and how clever we are and how tricky we are and all that stuff."

My personal opinion is that Cam Newton won't succeed because he doesn't throw accurately enough. Frankly, I don't expect any of the top QBs this year (Newton, Gabbert, Locker, Mallet) to have success in the NFL. Just my opinion.
I'll say Marcus Lattimore.

No one from the SEC will win it, though. It'll be Landry Jones or LaMichael James.

Last year on College Football Live before the '10 season, Tyler Wilson was asked to name a play Petrino would potentially call if Wilson had to come in the game for an injured Mallett. Wilson responded: "One of my favorite ones is 'flip the wing right T fly three thirty nine naked right wide delay.'"

And here's the name of the play Sam Bradford discussed with Gruden at his QB camp last year:

205 H over

Simplistic name. Number-based.

A hurry up, no huddle offense would change "flip the wing right T fly three thirty nine naked right wide delay" to something like "339 right." Still the same play, though, just easier to call from the sidelines.
