If 2019 had not happened I might have done so. With 03, 07, and 19 I just don't see any reason why I should even think about that game any longer. Like someone mentioned above, it's closure.
I like the CFP, the CFP is a much better way of determining the best teams, the problem is that the top 4 isn't really enough to justify eliminating some teams. Someone mentioned expanding to 8 earlier and I honestly feel like 8 or even 6 with the top 2 teams getting a bye works well.
You do realize that it's not just the eye test. It's also body of work. That's the argument you're trying to defeat and you're doing an awful job of it if you think you're scoring a point with UNC losing to Clemson by 1.

If you think Bama's body of work doesn't put them in the top 4, fine, but damn is it really worth looking like an idiot to attempt to prove it?

That bolded part has already been played out between the NCAA, LSU, and Will Wade, I believe

I was about 45% worried until I got to that line. I saw that line and immediately calmed down.
What is Peterson's pitch count at? Not watching on TV.

Because the forward pass.

Why the suspension in the first place? Because the administration chose to believe a recording of their coach discussing an illegal to even discuss offer to a student other than their own coach that they hired.

fixt it for u bb
An interview with LSU and/or the NCAA could have gone;

NCAA Man: Hey Javonte Smart. Did you lobby for or receive impermissible benefits from LSU?

JS: No.

NCAA Man: Then what was Coach Wade talking about on the phone about an offer to Smart?

JS: I dunno. You'd have to ask him about that.

NCAA Man: Are you sure?

JS: Yeah. I dunno what coach was talking about at all on that phone call

NCAA Man: Y'know you really shouldn't lie to us.

JS: Alright. I still don't know what Coach Wade was talking bout tho.

NCAA Man: Alrighty then. See ya later skiparoo.

and scene.

The NCAA knows who it is going to get answers from and has no means of compelling Smart to incriminate himself. Wade incriminated himself by being a total fricking dumbass and talking to frickwad McBallface on the phone instead of letting a middle man do it. The NCAA has no reason to rush an investigation and is willing to wait for Wade to testify or not testify and go over the evidence at that time as opposed to then or now when more evidence could surface.

Alleva should... have been fired before this whole Wade situation

Exactly. The only real question to gauge how badly the Admins fricked up or not is how the NCAA got involved. As far as I've seen we've seen no reporting that definitively states one way or the other that the NCAA requested to be at the meeting with WW or whether LSU requested that. If LSU requested the NCAA be there then yeah, the administration is likely throwing Wade under the bus for the benefit of the school. It sucks, along with most of the other shite this admin does, but it's understandable. If the NCAA called up Alleva and said, "Hey, have you asked Wade about anything on those tapes," and eventually the conversation wound up that LSU was going to call a meeting with Wade and the NCAA themselves requested permission to attend and the admins granted it, then this shite is almost entirely on Wade and I don't have any sympathy for him or problems with the admin doing what it did.

But fricking no one can just fricking wait for a fricking story to fricking develop in this entire god damned fricking country. Adopt a narrative, keep plugging. fricking morons all of us.

Do we have a quick short passing game?

It worked out well for USC!

I figured as much just from the meaning of the words. Just wondering if there's an actual description of precisely what the NCAA means when they use the terms.

NCAA Inquiry v Investigation

So it seems that there is still an open inquiry in both LSU and the NCAA's minds about the Wade/Smart payments even though Smart was cleared to play. Does anyone know the differences in context of what the NCAA determines makes something an inquiry instead of an investigation? Right now I'm just going off the differences between the words and would prefer a better understanding if one is out there.

This isn't a courtroom though. LSU is a public university and is answerable to the most fickle and corrupt organization on the planet (apologies to FIFA). There's a vested interest in showing that the university did not just the legal thing, but the ethical thing.

I will say that I do agree that I am not a fan of the administration to begin with so I won't be sorry if this does end with them seeing the wrong side of a door slamming in their collective face.

You're surprised that a lawyer is petty? Wait till you start figuring out politicians, buddy.
