Advertiser 11:09 a.m.: KATC General Manger Andrew Shenkan told The Daily Advertiser that the bomb threat call came in at 5:31 a.m. from an unidentified male who "sounded incoherent and was spewing expletives."
Shenkan said the call was taken by a morning show producer who immediately called police.
"He called the main newsroom line and told our producer he had placed multiple devices around the park and UL," Shenkan said. "He was using expletives and made other defamatory statements. So our producer immediately reached out to law enforcement."
Shenkan said the call was not the typical kind of bomb threat call that could have been taken as a prank, and the station was taking the incident very seriously.
"We are extremely concerned about the safety of our community and the students at UL and the residents near the park," Shenkan added.
According to Shenkan, Lafayette law enforcement officers are also in the process of retrieving data from KATC's phone records in hopes of finding the suspect or information that could lead police to him.
Shenkan said the caller also sounded incoherent, possibly drunk, when he called the morning show producer.
He said KATC news crews are currently on the scene with other news media. He said KATC has not been told what the devices are at this point.
...well this sucks

Voted! He's catching up to Luck pretty quick!
I had similar seats to your early ones, all the way at the top. That tour and your new seats both look awesome. I'm jelly.
Everyone outside the SEC would throw a fit about the guaranteed 6th in a row for the SEC. I think the only way it happens is if we're talking about both being undefeated except for the loser of LSU/Bama, and every other major team having more than one loss.
If an undefeated Boise jumped ahead of a one loss LSU or Bama, I would hate them even more than I do now. And that would be saying something.

If Ford can improve his blocking and Ware can keep improving on his vision/footwork (which is already pretty damn good), those two are going to be scary good by the end of the season/next year.

Hahahaha glad to see Cam is picking such upstanding role models to get him on the right track.
re: Hotter seat, Houston Nutt or Mark Richt?

Richt. A few bad losses and he's done for in Athens. I think Nutt holds on for at least another year unless OM just collapses in on itself (talking losses to Southern Illinois or Tech type of collapse)
Done. He's in second place and gunning for first...just like LSU! :geauxtigers:
They might, but I'd think it's more likely they drop at least one of Stanford/USC/Oregon St. They're not as good as they were last year, and Stanford is still pretty good, USC is USC, and Oregon St. is the kind of rivalry game that you can never really predict.

Yeah I was in the student section at the very top and it was LOUD. Not TS loud but still one of the loudest stadiums I've ever heard.
Tigers do work when it comes to crowd noise.

48 - 3
They score after all of our starters have been pulled. Lee passes for over 150.

This is college football, not intramural tiddlywinks. Stop whining.
re: Who are your new Top 10 teams?

There are two completely different questions here. If the question is how the polls should change from the preseason after this weekend, then no, I don't think LSU should jump Oklahoma and Bama. That's not how the BCS polls have ever worked. Teams almost never get jumped if they win decisively, no matter what. In something as arbitrary as the BCS system, there needs to at least be consistency. Now if the question is who I think the best TEAMS are, regardless of how they were ordered preseason, then my answer would be different.
The polls shouldn't change at all in the top 10 because of that, except for Oregon to fall out and everyone move up a spot behind them.
Ignoring the preseason polls and just going on how I personally would rank the teams though (based on how good they are, not how likely they are to go undefeated):
1. LSU
2. Bama
3. Oklahoma
4. Stanford
5. Oklahoma St
6. Florida St
7. Wisconsin
8. Nebraska
9. A&M
10. South Carolina
