The man coaches Bama now, not LSU. That was his choice. Don't tell us how to feel about a former coach who now coaches a divisional rival. His exploits while here are remembered and respected but we aren't going to sit and praise the guy while he actively works in stark opposition to our teams' success. Only a moron wouldn't understand that.

The guy has been absolutely bashed by every other fanbase in this conference and by many across the country since 2005. Our fanbase has been fine with Miles. I love how all these fans from other teams now act as if they've liked him all along when they have been his harshest detractors.

I've always said Miles has been a great guy and a good coach, but he has definitely caused a bit of controversy on his own over the years. LSU fans staged a march for Miles for Christ sake when they thought he might be going to Michigan. Miles is treated very well at LSU.

Can't this wait until after Jan. 9?

I'm literally as big of a Lee supporter as there is and I think that idea is foolish. Start Lee if it is a part of your game plan/strategy in winning the game. Don't start him for some sentimental reasons.

This is the national championship game, absolutely no time to frick around with anything except a game plan to win. If you're up big and the game is in hand, then you can ponder the idea of some playing guys for those reasons. Otherwise, just play to win.
