I've bought them in grocery stores (several actually), convenience stores, atv dealerships, at a rural flying service, big box stores and local sporting goods stores.
So far I haven't found a bad place. I always enjoyed the grocery store. I think its time to go for a drive.

So put them down in the tent and enjoy the fire and the stars!

I agree. Truck guns is better.
I keep at least two pistols and two rifles, maybe more. Pistols in the console, one rifle in the back floorboard, one behind/under back seat.
I’m deep in the country most of the time so ymmv.

They actually called him. He told me about it later in the day. No idea how maybthere really were but strongly considered driving down.
I got a call Saturday late morning that my family’s farm was a “sea of greenheads” from a guy calling to ask permission. ?????
That was after my sons and I limited on Friday up here in NELA.

I’ve had guns stolen out of my truck twice. The first time they caught the dude in Texas the next morning. He still had my Ruger 22/45 but had fenced my Beretta Brigadier. Couldn’t come up with my serial to get the Ruger back from Texas.
Four years later a kid carried my Beretta to pre-school and it was found at nap time. It made the news and I saw it and knew it was mine. Called the police chief and had it back by 3pm.
Second time they stole mine out of my truck and a neighbors as well. He was caught before he could fence and I got them all back.

Sounds like you are on the cusp exploring the world of makers like Winkler, Liam Hoffman Jaegers or Iz Turley or a hundred others!
Can’t speak for other regions but agree. No way I’d plant any in the delta. Mast drips before the season opens when the deer are still on crops and browse.

Doesn’t work that way. I sat in witness room with two feds before testifying before Judge Little.
Any duck coming from or going to a baited area is a baited duck IF you know about the bait.

I was trying to help one of my guys locate a place to hunt.
Finding a place with Bears, and finding one with a nice boar that's patterned in daylight is another thing.

re: only 16 of 26 bear tags used in LA this year

I bet the big mast crop contributed to lower success rate.
My friend killed the 565lb bear and lined his permission up as soon as he got a tag.
Another buddy drew and had bears on his property that split the week before the season.
His second property had boars coming in just after dark and he didn’t fill.

This was my experience. I had several I’d been wearing for over a year, but were missing buttons.
Sent them an email and they replaced all three with new shirts.

Don’t see you on the OB Boss. Good to see you. Must be slow if you’re hunting a deer.

I’m in a widow lady’s backyard next some some overgrown pasture and a travel corridor through some trees.
Saw a nice scrape line with 3scrapes in her yard walking in. ??
.35 Whelen, looking for any of several rack bucks that have been showing up.

re: Mineral Rights when buying WRP Hunting/Recreational Acreage

There really is no standard. WRE really doesn’t affect mineral rights. If there’s production in the area, then they are worth something. If none probably not worth much but still have value.
They revert back after ten years if no production in La.
