Jacob Wheeler is leading with 25 lbs
We should hire Jesus while we're at it. I think he'd be a good recruiter.

People act like the entire Air Force is nothing but pilots and people that sit in an office. Newsflash, the Army and Marines have plenty of non combat MOS's as well.

Anyone have any idea about when the lake turns over? I'm going the weekend after Thanksgiving and I'm hoping it will be done by then.
I didn't know it was opening day, but I figured the season must have started. Saw Troy Landry being followed around by a cameraman while I was fishing Crackerhead yesterday and heard a few shots. Gates off all those canals but he runs lines in Crackerhead :banghead:
I'm selling a Matthews Heli M with a case, release, arrows and a target for $800 if youre interested
Find stained water and you'll catch all you want to catch. Squarebill crankbaits and soft plastics for bass. The usual for bream.
We had a TI from our brother flight that would draw a smiley face on the tip of his finger and stick his finger in your face while yelling at you. It was the funniest shite, but god help you if you laughed.
Another TI saw a guy in our flight daydreaming and looking out into nowhere while he was teaching a class. He pulled the guy out and made him stand by the road while repeating, "I'm looking for something, I'm looking for something.". Over and over and over again.

Stretch the hamstrings as much as possible. If it doesn't help, I highly recommend trigger point dry needling. I had a bulging disc and sciatica at 25. The pain was so bad I felt like I was a 90 year old man having to hunch over all the time. I tried needling and the pain was gone within 2-3 weeks. Haven't had an issue since.
I used to do Mystery Tackle Box for bass fishing. Gave me some really good stuff and I caught fish on a lot of the stuff they sent me. Best thing was the V&M Wild Thang worm. Slayed em in Florida with that bait and I probably never would have tried it if it wasn't sent to me. They always send a pack of hooks too which was a major plus. I cancelled just to save money but it was worth it when I had it.
Thanks fellas. I'm probably gonna try some main lake points and creek channel points during the day and shallow in the morning. She's never got a fish on topwater so hopefully we can make it happen. I'm a little nervous about being out there at night. We're staying at Big Bass Marina and it looks like there's a lot of docks around that area so I may just stay close by and try that.
Toledo Bend

Who's been out to Toledo Bend recently? Me and the wife are headed there Monday and I want to put her on some fish. With the heat the way it is, I think we may fish mostly late in the evening and into the night. Any advice is appreciated!

Won't be charged. I know a kid who lost rank in the service for slapping an ied dog because the dog was "higher ranking" than him and the handler saw it.
No you don't.
One little trick I picked up with the Super fluke. If you want to add a little weigh when fishing some deeper water, get an old coat hanger and cut off some small, straight pieces and insert them into the nose. It will give it a little weight and make it fall very naturally but without the snags that a bullet weight would have.

Kinda depends on the situation.
False River Tuesday Nights

Anybody fish the False River Tuesday Night Tournaments? Is there more than one organization putting them on? Pretty cheap to fish and seems like a good time.

I was a Military Working Dog Handler for 6 years and I served in Iraq and Afghanistan. The younger/dumber me thought if you weren't outside the wire everyday, you were worthless. Matured/ more experienced me realized there is a bigger picture to our military. We can't fight without eating, medical attention, supplies and its damn sure nice to get paid. We all worked to achieve the mission and spent time away from our families. Seeing combat may give us a bigger sense of pride, but it doesn't lessen the roles the support guys played in helping us get through it. :usa:
Gambler Cane Toad in Pepper grass color. Fish it around grass and hydrilla. Smoked a 6 lber last weekend on Toledo Bend with that frog on a grassy point.
It would make a hell of a lot more sense for it to be called Greenwell Springs. They essentially named the city after the high school.
