Shotgun or Under Center? College Football's Great Short Yardage Debate

Under Center vs Shotgun

quote:

In today’s NFL, over 83 percent of all offensive snaps come with the quarterback in some form of shotgun formation. Some quarterbacks, notably Jalen Hurts and Joe Burrow, take over 95 percent of their snaps in the shotgun.

I also get frustrated when they line up in shotgun in short yardage.

However, don't call Under Center an NFL Offense, since most of the NFL is in Shotgun the majority of the time.

Ruined and Changed are not the same.

Transfers and NIL have changed CFB forever, some of it for good, some not so good, but it's here to stay. Embrace it and change with it, or be left behind, just like all things in life.

Rattler never should have started over Haener

You're kidding right? Haener looks like a Kicker, not a QB. I'd rather see Grupe take snaps over Haener.

No matter who's at QB....they are running for their life since the O Line was selling cars just a few days ago.
D3 does not give athletic scholarships. After an athlete "signs" they are eligible for grants, academic scholarships, etc - but no athletic scholarships.

SEC Tournament is there to help bubble teams get Regional seeding.

I'd rather win a Regional than SEC Tournament.

As a LSU fan, I want to win everything, all the time.

As a realistic fan, I'm pleased with the last few weeks of LSU Baseball. To go from First Four Out, to on the Bubble, to a regional 2 seed and taking the 4th National Seed to a deciding Regional Game 7 in extra innings - was a great run and very entertaining.

Excited for next year.

re: Chapelle vs Mt. Carmel

All 3, Chapelle, Dominican, and Mt. Carmel are good schools, it all depends on which is the best fit for your daughter.

Mt. Carmel is the largest, and most competitive in all aspects. Intense school spirit. Almost "Sorority like" - with cheers and themes, costumes, etc. but the girls love it.

Chapelle is smaller, but I think their faculty has a more hands on approach.

Dominican has suffered the most with decreasing enrollment, while the other two are thriving. Dominican parents have said that administration has a left leaning, woke political agenda, but I do not have 1st hand knowledge of that.

My daughter is at Mt. Carmel and as a Junior, she has had girls transfer in from Dominican every single year.

As with most schools, you'll get out of it what you put in. If your kid is a good student, works hard, and cares - they'll do well and be prepared for college. It's all about personal fit.

Take the tours, go to the open house, let her make the decision and support her.
KBB values it at $18k

Thanks for the info.
So what is the difference, tax wise, on a gifted vehicle vs. one that has a bill of sale for anything less than the value of the vehicle?

A family member wants to give a car to my daughter (under 18). I have not done this before, is it better to process the title as a gift or sell/buy it for a minimum amount of money?

What would be best for taxes, etc.

Thanks in advance.

DJ on a Cruise Ship out of New Orleans. Sailed to Cozumel, Grand Cayman, and Jamaica weekly for one summer in college.

Played music on the back deck during lunch/mid-day and the night club from 11pm - 3 or 4am.

Great summer - met some great people, had a blast. This was the late 90s, so not everyone with a laptop was a DJ.
