As a pregnant Ochsner employee, nope that was what was said. I had two separate meetings with higher ups to discuss if I would be an exception. My schedule was changed to reflect forced gpt and just yesterday late was I told that I now qualify as an exception. The decision makers may have always thought they would do that but that was not passed along to nursing staff or our higher ups until recently.

Ummmm Ochsner most certainly said that expectant mothers would not be an exception. I had two weeks scheduled with forced gpt. It is recently (like last night) that I got a message that going forward I will be an exception but it was NOT known from the beginning. It was explicitly stated even that per original discussions those with upcoming medical leave such as pregnancy or surgery would not be an exception
I’m happy they have reconsidered there stance, but don’t act like that was the decision from the get go.

Let me just tell you first hand they are making no exceptions. I’m due in 8 weeks and they are making me use majority of my saved pto before Maternity leave starts.

Don’t forget medsurg. We have three covid units at the hospital I work at in Nola just for medsurg, plus our covid icu and then icu overflow. We may not be at capacity but it’s pretty close.

Yes, at the hospital I work for we are not using Bipap on any covid patients. If they can’t sustain greater than 90% o2 sats on a non rebreather they are intubated.

I took my bridesmaids to cafe Atchafalaya for my bridal luncheon and they loved it! Mimosa and Bloody Mary bar. I think the favorite at the table was something with grits and veal and the poached eggs with crab meat.

It's with State Farm? How is that working for when he retires? My dad, uncle, and grandpaw are all agents and State Farm made it a point a few years back that their books of business belonged to the company and couldn't be passed down to his sons or something along those lines.

I will be more than happy to try the burger again! In full disclosure my husband wanted to mention something the day we went because he did think it was something that could be rectified. Again, milkshakes were phenomenal!

I ate there recently and was pretty unimpressed with the burger. Way too salty, crumbled apart, and the bun couldn't hold up. I did however love the milkshake that we had there. Like another poster said I would go back for the milkshake, but Nola has much better burger joints to choose from.

I'm a big fan of the one on magazine. The conch fritters are my go to app and the Mole or calypso beef tacos are legit. The nachos looked really good and were huge. The drinks are pretty decent, but stay away from the mojitos.

The only time I ever at Arzis it was disgustingly greasy and I was sick for the rest of the day. Albasha is my favorite place in BR by far

I searched and didn't see any recent threads on this. A few friends took me to get Thai food in Nola at la Thai and I loved it. I was really craving some tonight. Any suggestions for a decent Thai place in baton rouge?
