Yea. A true purple and gold fan. Trash talk always makes a program better. I bet you do all of the programs. Nothing positive. I did not bother with looking at your posts.

What?
quote:

How about when you randomly show up in a womens basketball thread just to shitpost on men's basketball? Kinda hard to avoid that if I wanted to

That was said tongue in cheek. Sorry I have to explain that to you. Don’t take this place so seriously.

Posters like that think ignoring the problem makes it go away.

They’ll complain about the complaining instead of the actual problem. 52 SEC losses in less than 4 years isn’t the problem, it’s the posts on a message board that they can’t tolerate.

Think how warped you must be to hold that opinion.

Couldn’t have said it better myself. Very odd how this type of poster contributes very little to actual basketball discussion/game threads. Say a few critical things about McMahon and they come rushing out of the woodwork.

If he’s fatigued like he suggests, maybe he should be the one taking a break. No one is making him read the threads and then respond. Odd fellow.

Do you ever get tired of trashing basketball? Like we get it. You have made your point.

When the product improves, I’ll stop trashing it. Simple.

Care to provide a rebuttal on my point that the coach is responsible for the players he selects for his roster?

quote:

Here is a stat for you: your last 149 posts have been shite-posts about LSU basketball and or McMahon.

I am flattered that you actually took the time to research (stalk) my posts to compile that stat. It’s funny though. I don’t cast you a second thought.
Again though, who is responsible for getting players to campus and having a guy who is not up to the competition level taking up a roster spot? The coach.

The player evaluation from this coaching staff is like everything else in this program under McMahon: subpar.
McMahon: “NCAA Tournament? No, can’t say that I’ve ever heard of it.”
quote:

Funny how a few years ago I read here that hiring Woodward was the greatest thing ever. And now he’s fat has been and money in a dumpster fire. Kelly winning the west in football his first year and going to the SECC. Woodward the Great. If CMM is here next year, what if the basketball team gets to the tournament. Then what.

How much does Woodward pay you?
quote:

You're 2-12 in SEC play. You're second to last in made 3 pointers (per game) in SEC play. Of Zipper's 14 FGA this season, 12 have been 3 point attempts...of which he's made 5 (42%). Why not give him a few minutes a game. What is the worst that can happen?

Nah man, gotta keep playing Tamba for 25 minutes each game.
quote:

Zipper was a defensive liability in non conf play he would get torched in the sec

Who evaluates, offers and ultimately signs the players? Yet another miss by this failure of a head coach. He has no idea what it takes to be successful at the P4 level. Absolutely none.
quote:

I don't care if he is replaced at the end of the season,

Oh I think you care a great deal. You foam at the mouth like a rabid dog when someone even mentions any legitimate criticism of your cult leader.

You are brainwashed. That’s the nicest way I can say it.

If only the sanctimious assholes on this board would admit what they know is true, but they jsut love to have a villain.

52 conference losses in less than four seasons.

Ouch! Tough to defend.

I appreciate your passion for the game and you spend a lot of time analyzing basketball issues. However, you are the king of " yeah, but " to the extent whenever a positive comment is made about the basketball program for any reason you immediately show up with comments minimizing or demeaning the positive comments. It would be nice if you, for one time used your yeah, but skills to admit that entering the job with the NCAA cloud hanging over the program was a daunting task. Compounding this was the loss of Reed and Ward last year when things were trending up after 2024. The losss of Reed and Thomas this year was even more devestating. Please spare me the shite comment that some mockingly make that I am alleging they lost the next Isiah Thomas and Larry Bird. These are two talented and experienced players whose absence was devestating. No one claimed they are All Americans or future pro stars. I don't know whether McMahon could be successful at this elvel or not. His prior success indicates he knows what he is doing. Yes, he may have still failed, but it would have been great if he could have competed with a complete roster including his most talented players. The performance in 2024 was encouraging when they finished in the first half of the league. ( I know, yeah but they were seeded 8th in the SEC tournament, but they still tied for the top half based on overrall record.)

Imagine typing all of this drivel to defend:

52 CONFERENCE LOSSES in less than four years
ZERO TOURNAMENT APPEARANCES &
ZERO PLAYERS DRAFTED
quote:

The SEC is incredibly competitive now in basketball, so you have to make a big hire with big NIL commitments. Who cares if we go from being 2-18 to being 8-12, or even 10-10. Do we or can we afford to pay twice as much in salary + NIL just to get field a team that is a 10 seed?

Well a 10 seed is automatically better than not making the tournament for four years straight. You would at least have a seat at the table so yes, it would be worth it.

The current trajectory of the program simply cannot continue.

I think he has to let the clock run out on McM.

The program can’t wait that long. Hopefully McMahon is tired of the punishment and humiliation and decides to leave on his own. He is a robot though so probably doesn’t feel strongly about it one way or another.
quote:

I don't give a shite if they decide to replace him

You keep saying this but yet keep giving these unhinged defenses of any OBJECTIVE criticism of McMahon. You’re not fooling anyone. Here are some numbers for you to chew on:

16-52 SEC record
ZERO NCAA TOURNAMENT APPEARANCES
0-1 in his only post game game. And that loss was a home game.
ZERO PLAYERS DRAFTED

Let me know if you have any questions, Grandpa.

Probably the only candidate that interviewed that didn’t give any pushback to Dictator Woodward

His tenure at LSU is more successful than the current failure.

CJJ would still be the coach, today.

Compared to what we’ve had to suffer through the last four seasons, this sounds pretty good.

So, you writing the check?

I see this is the talking point du jour from the McMen for Sunday, February 22nd in defense of their favorite failure.

They simply cannot defend a 16-52 conference record and another missed tournament so they have to resort to the screech of “well, are you gonna pony up??” An argument completely devoid of basketball logic or facts.

The McMen are such a warped cult.
