Formula 1 Race - USGP Parking and General Info

Was wondering if anyone had any good tips on how to attend the race this fall? Probably buying GA tickets and going to hang between turns 1 and 9. Thought about buying a parking lot pass but they are $320 for the weekend. Is there a bunch of offsite parking on the southeast side of the track towards...

Anyone know why Williams Blvd in Kenner is closed beneath I-10? Saw both exit ramps to Williams closed and cops have the intersections on both sides of the interstate closed on Williams.

Going to Knoxville for the first time to check that one off the list. Need some good recs on areas of town to stay in since downtown is extremely pricey.
