The strike zone never changed. Just MLB started requiring the umpires to follow the zone and not give the pitcher the ball 3 inches off the black. Enforcing the zone knees-letters and the width of the plate.

The real issue is we no longer have pitchers, instead we have throwers. Throw as hard as you can 100% of the time. That’s one reason why we have more arm injuries.

I went to a Mets/Astros game in the mid-2000s the pitching matchup was Glavine vs Pettitte I think the final score was like 4-2 and the game was over in about 2 hours. One of the best games I’ve ever been too, but today’s ADD Generation calls that boring due to last of constant scoring. Just shows they don’t know what all is going on.
Only thing I don’t understand is True Freshmen transferring after one year. The expectations to start as a true freshmen astounds me.

Why do we need to sudden constant change the rules for every sport?

Football/baseball/basketball/Softball etc have been played for 100 years, suddenly 10-15 years ago, we have to changes some of the rules every offseason.

Shot clock should be mandatory

I do several ball games for radio for the parish. You barely have people who can work and pay attention the game to run a scoreboard/game clock. Then add the requirement of a constant shot clock reset. Would be a clusterF at some places.
Trade the #1 pick to Cleveland for 3 #1s.

That’s cool! We can trade it to Cleveland for 3 1st Rders.
If you plan to take Milroe, try and trade down and get some extra picks. 40 too high.
Spreading Tom’s ashes on the practice field?

Everyone took the “in 7 generations” quote as gospel that there would be 7 generations of Duttons. However, Spotted Eagle could have just been referring to a span of time, it lineage.
You do realize, it’s not as easy as you make it sound.
Money will eventually dry up. Having to fund at least Football, Baseball, Gym, Softball, and M&W Basketball, there is only so much money to go around. In football alone, NIL budgets have skyrocketed at record speed, up to about 20mil today, in another 2-3 years. Like easily be over 50mil. Then Baseball which will need to be funded to keep up with Tenn Texas and A&M. Could easily be up to 75mil with just those two sports and we haven’t even touched basketball and the women’s sports.

Jack (Hunt)!!!
Mets fan since I was 10 (1986). Watched the World Series on TV as my first exposure to MLB. We had a minor league team here but dearly went til I was older. Mets won the WS, kept following them through Middle School and things just stuck. Been suffering ever since. Between them and the Saints it’s been rough through the years.

I guess Obama wanted to “fundamentally change” the marriage.
