Great novel! If you enjoy Russian literature, I’d also recommend War and Peace.

Move it to the top of your list. I can already tell it will be one of my favorite books of all time.

I’m not setting a # goal, but I’d be happy to read 10-15 this year. Using this post for my list of books read in 2026. Each time I start a new book, I will list it here.

1. The Count of Monte Cristo - Alexandre Dumas

Book 1 for 2026 is The Count of Monte Cristo. So far, so good!

I would argue that the phrase is “vice versa”

Do tell...I haven't seen the mini series yet.

I loved Lonesome Dove. Wonderful story with memorable characters and several tense scenes that have stayed with me long after I finished the novel. By the way, I loved Blood Meridian as well
This is a good take

The public will have 45 days to submit a comment on the proposed WOTUS rules once they are officially published in the Federal Register on Thursday. The EPA will then consider whether any comment warrants revisions in the proposed regulations, which would be incorporated into the final version. The Trump administration has not laid out a timeline for putting the new rules into effect.
I wonder what POTUS thinks about WOTUS. If it becomes contentious with certain environmental groups, could WOTUS be decided by SCOTUS?
100%! It was so good! I couldn’t put it down. I am tempted to read the other books in the series simply because I’d love to “spend more time with” the characters, despite the fact that they may be disappointing stories compared to LD. Idk!
