Bring in David Cutcliff OC and possibbly put him as coach in waiting
Posted by szeringue on 11/29/15 at 2:33 am
he makes 1.75 mill at Duke. He is an offense and Qb guru. SEC Head coaching experience. And won at Duke. if not for head coach at least as OC.
Which LSU legend coach is beloved more ? any other choices ? not nicky

Les Miles or Dale Brown? I get the differences... Dale had, ncaa problems and all but also had 4 losing seasons on the back end. Les won big but has declined lately. Both are legends in their own right who have had exceptional personal relationships with their players which seem to be the glue that gets the recruits. Both weren't known for in game coaching ability either. Both are now legends like it or not. Some fans would go to game, with one big factor being to see these 2 coaches and their brand and to support their team as usual.

re: I said it all week "Philly was a fraud"

All I mean by "Fraud" is the talking heads picking them to win the game. Look it's the NFL I understand that it's a crapshoot sometimes. But the media gave us no chance with being on the road and the cold.
I said it all week "Philly was a fraud"

Philly had no chance. It took them a ton of games to even get a home win this year, so home-field advantage was not as big a deal as the media portrayed it. Then most all media folks jump on the Philly bandwagon after 2 crap wins over teams that are at home right now. (Cowboys and Bears) And not to mention a loss the week before those 2 games to a Viking team without A.P. Philly was a trendy pick cause of their offense, that is all. This was the easiest pick of the playoff weekend. Now someone find some similar nuggets to help me believe we will beat Seattle and I'll feel even better.

One thing to remember is Brett Beilima is now at ARKY so we may see this chicken come home to roost. I hope what you say about Wisc is accurate cause their coach is now coaching one of our biggest opponents every year.
Lsu and Stanford sure look alike with one glaring difference

Stanford 3rd down eff. 3 - 11
rushing 35 - 187
passing 13 - 20 -157
Do these stats look familiar? One thing Stanford has is a coach that understands how to be a physical power football team that has a plan to win games in a certain way and doesn't try to be something they are not. David Shaw knows how to manage his team and game situations. Yea they could of easily lost to Wisconsin but it seems he knows how to win games with a Miles type philosophy. Stanford has no off or on field distractions that hurt the team. They are a team on the rise while Lsu looks like a team in decline. Shaw is the epitome of what Les would like to be. I watched the Rose Bowl and they just resembled Lsu in their style of play minus the craziness from our coaching staff. We could be so much better with any brains at all. I'm not asking for a coach as intelligent as Shaw. Just half as intelligent would be nice. Just have some damn common sense and play the game the way it should be played. Is that too much to ask? Obviously it is, because it's the same old, same old story.

It's becuase they try to say, "because TR's numbers are better than Ingram's, he should win." C'mon it should be vs the current competition ONLY.

You are right but he is still better than your punter. Since we are talking kicking, I'd venture to say their Fg kicker is better than yours too.

Is that sig pic some kind of mortar and pestle that I can use in my kitchen? Or is that a new recruiting tool?

What is Frank Wilson's worth? I know you say a million possibly. What is his salary right now? How much is too much to pay for retaining him? Well we all know how valuable he is but what is the limit monetarily? Dude can name his price in my opinion. Problem is he may want to do his own thing one of these days.
Which Qb did you like better Jamie Howard or Josh Booty?
Posted by szeringue on 12/5/11 at 8:32 pm
Both had huge potential. Howard more physical tools. Booty benefited from a high powered offensive scheme in HS. Probably both should have played baseball in college and we would definitely have a better opinion of them. But we sure didn't need them at the Box.

This. I can't stand when people try to imply that betting lines are a indicator of who's better. It's to get the same amount of money on both sides. It's to collect the 10% that keeps them getting richer. They could give a crap who the better team is. We will know more as the money is put down. And more often than not the betting public is wrong. can't wait to see how it moves. Maybe it will end up Bama -7 since Bama is so much better than LSU. Let the public move that line, I'll bet the house on the Tigers and feel confident in a win.
Who has more pressure Lsu or Bama?
Posted by szeringue on 12/4/11 at 9:40 pm
I've been hearing for a few weeks that Lsu is scared of the rematch and all that other BS from some. But now that the game is set, I feel Bama has alot to lose in this game because of the significance of consecutive loses to LSU. If LSU loses it's 1 to 1. Now don't get me wrong here, whoever wins deserves to be the champ. This is the system we are in so this game is for all the marbles. The winner is undisputed champ. But I just get the feeling some try to say Lsu is scared. Well if the roles were reversed, I'm sure Bama would rather play someone other than Lsu also. So I just disagree that all this pressure is on Lsu. I just think Lsu has less to lose in perception than Alabama does. An LSU win will solidify a dominance over Alabama. An Alabama win will leave questions unanswered.
