Back in the early 90's another MLB scout and I were discussing this situation.
What joggled my memory was that a lengthy article appeared in Sports Illustrated about
peewee football pimping, alot of these kids lived on the west of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
kids got sucked into a "pimping academy" directors took pin money from the bunch in Lee County.
In long run most kids never got proper academic background to get into college.
In our business our best prospects come through the front door- recognized programs/ coaches/scouts/crosscheckers.
This Thibidaux Monster a creation of the same "pimping/whoring flimflam. Street hustle game.
don't need to read the whole book to know how it will turn out.
this is just trading in bartered goods that when defective are not worth the effort to go back and fix.
