re: When your team won a NC did you buy championship gear?

I really liked the AU national championship logo...guessing you didn't?

Tiger Stadium at night...jeezus h. christ I don't know how an away team could ever win there.

Heck no, I remember walking out of the stadium my freshman year before halftime at the Homecoming game when the punt returner (I think it was Dunn?) dropped the punt while trying to catch it running backwards into the endzone. Most people don't realize how bad the coaching had become. Chizik and co. did amazing work in just 2 years.

Good point, that was late 90's for TN...my bad. Trust me no love for Bama!

Here's the objectivity:
National Titles:
2-UF
2-LSU
1-BAMA
1-AUBURN
1-TENN
0-Rest
I know you're hating I put Bama over AU but both had national titles and both had undefeated SEC seasons. And going back to the original post Bama has more fans, better facilities (for now). I don't like it either, but the point is to be OBJECTIVE (remember)!

For Mark Richt's sake I hope they beat Boise. I don't think he can keep his job with a loss in a national game to a non-AQ team, even though Boise's not the typical non-AQ...

False...refer back to original topic. I also factored in 'prestige'.

re: Non-LSU fans: What do you fear most in 2011?

1(a). LSU trainers supply QB Zach Mettenberger with ruffies which he uses to overcome his girl problems and as a result proves to be a top 3 SEC QB.

re: 2004 vs 2010 auburn...
Posted by buckfama8 on 1/12/11 at 7:30 pm
Great question. 2004 was certainly a more complete team but I would take 2010 simply due to Nick Fairly and Cam Newton's ability to dominate games. It's hard to beat a team that has players that dominate the middle of the line like Fairly and can consistently convert 3rd and short like Cam enabled Auburn to do. 3rd down conversion rate is simply one of the most overlooked stats in football.

"Our bama nation"...LSU, Bama fan? I'm confused?

Compared to other schools, yeah it is true. Wasn't aware being a college graduate constitutes being 'snobby' or 'pretentious' :dunno:

Agreed, if y'all get rid of the Hatter and can keep Mettenberger out of the bars look out...or just give him some ruffies so the skanks don't remember him molesting them!

Just saw this today on ESPN, Ziemba summed it up perfectly:
“It’s a family, a small town in Southeast Alabama, and most of the fans went to school there and graduated,” said Ziemba, who’s from Rogers, Ark. “You have a close-knit family that is diehard about its football. You want to thank them for their love and support.
“They’re the type of fans that stick with you through the 5-7 seasons, through the rough years, through the times when you’re jumping offsides too many times. They’re always with you. They’re going to love you whether you’re on top or on the bottom.
"That’s Auburn.”
