it was sarcasm bro
this shite has gotten way more press than it should. all of this is to get the attention of the public off of the shitty economy and Obama's record as an utter failure as president.
When your solution to all the world's woes are to blame somebody else yet offer no real solutions yourself...well, ya can't let people focus on THAT.

J/k - good man and good staff there.
Coach Cess!!! He was the O-Line coach at the time so i never worked directly with him. I can't say for certain that he never told them guys anything like that, but I never saw or heard anything like that. Same thing with Coach Shaver....all coached with class. Coach Crawford was the secondary coach and I worked with him and Coach Cutrera (LB coach) a lot. Neither one ever encouraged cheap shots or trying to injure an opponent.

I played four years as a strong safety for Coach Jimmy Shaver at Barbe High School in Lake Charles. NEVER did he, or any of the other asst coaches, EVER encourage us to injure or cheap shot an opponent. NEVER.
I'm a long time Saints fan but this type of behavior is criminal and unacceptable

BCS leaders focus on four postseason options

LINK
"The plans range from a long-discussed "plus one" format — after the bowls play out, selecting two teams to meet for the national championship — to a heretofore undisclosed four-team playoff proposal that could expand the semifinals to preserve an annual Big Ten-vs.-Pacific-12 matchup in the Rose Bowl.
In the latter plan, the four highest-ranked teams at the end of the regular season would meet in semifinals unless the Big Ten or Pac-12 champion, or both, were among the top four. Those leagues' teams still would meet in the Rose, and the next highest-ranked team or teams would slide into the semis. The national championship finalists would be selected after those three games."
would LOVE to see the Tigers lay the smackdown on some other OOC "powerhouses" :geauxtigers:

re: Mo Claiborne scores 4 out of 50 on wonderlic

when he is counting his millions he can have them Wonderlic his balls.
I've never understood why they choose to administer an intellectual test and waste everybody's time when you have years of game film of their actual athletic performance. They are being hired to perform certain athletic activities, not engage in quantum physics or perform medical procedures. If the Wonderlic means absolutely ZERO when it comes to drafting an athlete then WHY even force them to take it? PP had a shitty score yet he gets drafted top 5 and makes the pro Bowl his rookie year. Moral of the story? The Wonderlic is useful for toilet paper

this has been my experience too but I do the exact opposite back to THEM. I am as nice as possible and even try to engage them in small talk to let them see that I'm NOT the white devil that fills their storybooks.

the popeyes on burbank by Bluebonnet is always stellar. always clean, always friendly....when i get the craving i go there. Ive even called the 1-800 number at the bottom of the receipt to let corporate know they do a good job. i feel that IF you do a good job, you should be recognized for it. maybe they get some sort of bonus for good customer service scores or something. if that happens then maybe it will prompt other stores to do better themselves. stark contrast with the popeyes on staring lane, just a mile away. its always filled with riff raff, shite on the floor, ignorant and rude employees and NEVER have fresh chicken. I walked in the other day (against my better judgement) and heard two employees yelling at each other about something. I thought the place was getting robbed for a second cause of all the yelling. They had NO fresh chicken and said a "ten piece, dark, spicy" box doesn't exist but I'd have to pay for a mixed box instead and fill it with just dark meat. I said "No, thanks" and walked out, drove to the burbank branch and got the exact order I requested at the Staring one, which they said didnt exist. seems like a trivial thing but I'm not paying an additional $8 for the same thing they sell just a mile away.

and I'm not trying to condemn the practice either...i take ZERO moral stance on this issue. i believe it's every person's personal choice what THEY wanna put in their own bodies. In professional sports, the bigger, stronger, and faster athletes are more likely to be successful. The more successful, the more money you make. There are MILLIONS of dollars on the line for these players. The difference between running faster than everyone else and getting paid $10 million a year may be just a needle away. Why NOT do it? shite...if I was a pro player and my body was my business then I see no problem trying to get the edge to go make the big sweet dollars. I think that the hypocrisy of the NFL, MLB, etc..stinks; that the league postures itself as some sort of moral compass when they expect anything BUT that.

that's my contention brotha...the NFL WANTS giant physical specimen gladiators that look larger than life destroying each other on the football field. They ALL turn a blind eye...way too much money involved

Posted by damyankee on 2/25/12 at 2:58 pm
me and my six year old son,Caleb, just ran into Les Miles and his family at Buffalo Wild Wings on Bluebonnet...I congratulated him on winning the SEC Championship and wished him good luck for next year. He flashed me that $4 million dollar grin and winked at me and said "Thanks! Is that your son ?(pointing to Caleb)"...I said "Yessir...Caleb say hi to Coach Miles"....Caleb gives Les that goofy toothless grin of his and goes "Hiiiiiiiii"...Les gets down on his level and says back in a little kid voice "Hiiiiiiii"

the NFL is like any other business that winks and turns their head about the dirty little secrets...when you have linebackers the size of Anthony Munoz in his prime running at speeds posted by Jerry Rice in his prime (aka Shawn Merriman)you obviously know something has changed. Even in the 70's the Steelers were widely known for their steroid usage but the NFL turned a blind eye cause people wanna see huge men running at super speeds at each other and causing monstrous collisions. Look how many baseball, BASEBALL, players have been busted for juicing and most of them are no where NEAR the size of these pro football players. I'm sure the NFL is like everything else...they bust who they WANNA bust as to give the sport some legitimacy when it comes to drug testing. Not taking away from the impressiveness of Laron's physique but an athlete who engages in weight training NATURALLY gains the majority of his muscular size (post puberty) within the first 24 months of training and growth slows tremendously after that. Laron has been immersed in weight training all the years in high school plus college years plus the pros and he STILL continues to put slabs of pure muscle mass on as a mature weight trained athlete. Not saying it's impossible BUT....kinda makes ya wonder
