Im a rookie, but I'm going to say hell no. The average volume of DGAZ is 13mil....I doubt you could buy a chunk of 2million shares at one price like the game fills. I had quit day trading for a while until Russian started barking again. So I jumped back in it for a few days.

I looked last night on the after hours and new somebody was going to explode this morning. I put in an order to buy at market open...that didn't work out so well.... So I did a little quick buy and sell to cover my losses. :banghead: :banghead:

I agree. I just started doing what the leaders where doing and ran it up to 2mil rather quick.
Only reason I wanted to play is to learn a little more about the market and maybe see how I somewhat "realistically" would have fared by doing my own trading.
The longer holding times would help level the field a little, but when dividends were out of play, it made it a little more short-term for everyone. either way, its still fun, because somewhere there is someone day trading like this in real life. Kudos to them!!! :bow:

So people can actually trade in pre- and after hours trading? I used to play around on Etrade and at closing bell I couldn't trade anymore. I was just under the impression that only insiders or whatever could trade outside of normal hours. Like on a limit order it would say "good til market close".
Or if I put in an order at 5pm to buy, it would say "buy xxx at market open".
Hope I don't sound like a full blown retard... Lol

And would someone explain after hours trading? It seems unfair as shite to me.
I've gotten burned with real money by it before. Few years back was trading some smurfit stone stock and it tanked overnight. Never had a chance to sell off.
Some of you experts expound on it for me....I'll hang up and listen.

I have to admit what yall are doing is impressive. And I know I'd never be able to day trade like this. Hell I got fired up today when I refreshed the page and was down 50k...refreshed again and was up 40k....then went back down 20k. Hahaha.

I've learned a shite ton already. Got lucky earlier today and covered on a price that was lower than the day's low...Don't know how that happened, but I likes it.
What I've learned so far is that there's no way in hell you should ever buy and sell "by market price" The only way to do it is put in limit orders right?? The time mine sold for 8.40ish....it only hit that number for like 30seconds...
