Losing Knile was a big blow, no doubt. We are going to have to have a young 'un step up to help Dennis Johnson and Wingo. Thanks for the best wishes for his recovery.

Lion, Lou Holtz suspended three starters and nobody gave the Hogs a chance. It was supposed to be a blowout. The Hogs just destroyed the Sooners. Some unheralded nonstarter Hogs stepped up, played their hearts out and upset Number 1.

Today I am a Bengal Tiger. I don't post here much, probably never started a thread, and haven't posted since last football season, so yeah go ahead and flame about that.
I just wanted to drop in and say I feel horrible for LSU and what has happened this week. But the sky is not falling. LSU is still the storied SEC program it was last week. I will be pulling for LSU vs. Oregon just has hard as I pull for the Hogs.
Someone WILL step up vs Oregon, count on it. Remember the '78 Orange Bowl when the Hogs knocked off #1 OU. Oregon won't know what the hell to expect from your team. Les will figure out a way to make that your advantage.
The Sportsman's Paradise produces the best duck hunters in the world. Now go out there and slaughter those stupid ducks out west. Bag the limit.

PigU is fine with me as well. I think it is sort of cute.

Doesn't bother me. Some are way too sensitive about the image. To me, its just a shortcut that's easy to type.

You can't afford the $6M buyout for Petrino, and I don't think he wants the LSU job.

Hoga-LUDE needs to STFU. He's making the other Hog fans look bad.

Thanks. I've liked Bama since I was a little kid. Dad was born there.

He is jealous because his team doesn't have a unique mascot and yell. How many schools have a tiger mascot? And what does a Bengal Tiger have to do with Louisiana - haven't they been extinct in LA since the last ice age?

The UT game was fun but those seasons overall were not as fun and exciting and hopeful as this one. Just my opinion.

I didn't say I was just happy to be there. I expected us to win and I'm disappointed we didn't do it. I'm not one of our people who came on here and made a fool of my self - some of our fans did (not you). Which season in the past 40 years has been more exciting? It is going to be fun again next year, too.

Thanks OP. I agree with you. This hurts and we are embarrassed to end the SEC streak. I understand the desire to put some of our obstreperous fans in their place - they deserve it. This still was the most exciting year of Hogs football I can remember (I graduated in 1976), and next year will be again. Nobody thinks the next decade is going to be a miserable as the Decade of Dale.

re: Finebaum just called Mallet a Chump!!
Posted by SausagePatty on 1/5/11 at 3:22 pm
When the SEC record books are updated, the Chump will have replaced Wuerffel in yards per play.
1. 8.07 yards per play by Arkansas' Ryan Mallett (916 plays for 7,390 yards)
2. 7.75 by Florida's Danny Wuerffel (1,355 plays for 10,500 yards)
Small Piggy consolation for the humiliation of being the one who is responsible for embarrassing the SEC last night.
