Whether it’s the O line talent or lack there of, the scheme, the technique, the mental mistakes or play calling, it’s clear that our offense is not very good whether we go with QB 1 or QB 2– especially in the red zone.

Has BK done anything this year that gives you confidence it will get better with him at helm?

My wife and I were in traffic at that same spot and time. We didn’t know what caused the mass fleeing for one’s life. Later a video came out that showed a guy in the crowd flashed a gun which caused the panic.

This is not alimony… it was community property
re: McMahon a good coach, just not a good fit for LSU

You know what “fits” at LSU? WINNING!!!!
Winning cures lots of personality flaws/differences— best example in college basketball of the past- Bobby Knight.
I can assure you that if Will Wade had not won here at LSU, no one would overlook his “personality flaws”. The problem with McMahon has not been his personality or “fit”, it’s been his team’s record.

A dozen years have passed… over a decade! Let it go.
Memory says as bad or worse than the Lou Tepper “ read and react” defenses.

Very “impressible” take. Lol
It was the same as every coaching change— the insiders had it wrong AGAIN and some idiots here still took the bait. Lol
re: Love Bayou Barbie. I find NO fault in her. But Caitlin=Pure Class.

Saw plenty Claitlin did that was not so classy…. She is a competitor and so is Angel Reese. Class has nothing to do with it.

I’m more of a “let your play do the talking” kinda guy. However, if you trash talk, better be able to back it up. Angel backed it up. The grief she is getting stems from medias dislike of Mulkey. Media in general, definitely wanted LSU to lose.
Caitlyn got away with a lot of push offs with her free arm when trying to get open. She also got away with some foot shuffling when stepping back to shoot. It happens. Both are great players and both are trash talkers. Our trash talker has a national championship!!!

was that contract necessary for an unproven mid Major coach? It just doesn’t make sense from a business standpoint or based on the other hires he has made.
Or it signals to current and future bball coaches that the AD is financially committed to men’s bball. McMahon may not be the right guy. I hoped he would be.

I’m not a WW fanboy, but I’d love to lose an NCAA tournament game this year.

In my lifetime— 4 times LSU basketball has generated excitement— (1) when Pistol Pete played; (2) Dale Brown teams a handful of years; (3) John Brady circa 2006; and (4) the brief time WW was coach. None of them are coming back. I was hopeful when MM was hired. I am discouraged by the product on the court (and I’ve been to every home game). Because of the product MM’s seat has gotten HOT very quickly. Next year is a critical year in his tenure or he will quickly be on the list of “NOT COMING BACK”. At this rate I’d be surprised if he gets to Year 4 of his contract. Like it or not, he is here through year 3.
quote:
He had until year 3 in my mind. Based on the last 7 games, unless he does something dramatic to end the season he has to do markedly better next year to make it to year 3.
Exactly how I feel. But this shite show has been tough to watch.

We fired him I’m assuming? Would like a little history on him
If memory is correct, Archer took over after Arnsparger left— based on Arnsparger’s recommendation and the team’s vote. From actual experience, Archer did not have the personality to handle being head coach, whether it’s from pressure, youth or being over his head. Was on same elevator with him at bowl game. Only 5 LSU fans and coach in elevator. Fans said nothing but well wishes to him and team. He said almost nothing back and came off as rude and unappreciative of fan’s support. Then the following year, Archer shows up to an LSU golf tournament dressed in Tulane’s colors. And when a booster asks why not purple and gold, Archer’s reply, “I wear those colors during season and get tired of them.” Not smart when at LSU fundraising event.

Nicki was a good coach she was just lazy.
If your premise is correct, I’d argue that lazy made her a bad coach.

When you shoot layups and dunks at a whopping rate of 50% and your fg % is horrendous… you won’t win. No excuse for a collection of college players to only make 1/2 their layups and dunks.
