Maybe? It’s glaringly obvious.

Cracker Badger has to be it. Props to whoever came up with that one.
re: I’m pulling for UNC from here on out

I couldn’t care less what happens here on out. I may watch a game or two but who I pull for can change game to game. Big comebacks, upsets, just don’t like the looks of the fans, etc will all influence who I pull for.
re: Tigers didn’t look happy!

That would have been the look no matter who they matched against. Business as usual. Opponent doesn’t matter. I’d be more upset if I was hosting a regional and got paired with LSU.

“If Milazzo is a man of his word”
I know he most likely didn’t mean anything by that, but that just sounded weird.

Who'd you bet with? Draftkings makes it pretty clear that the game must go for a full 9.
I would think draft kings would pay:
“Mercy Rule- The result at the time of the relevant league’s “Mercy Rule” call will be used for settlement purposes.“
re: The CFP committee is disturbingly dumb
Posted by cleetus on 12/4/23 at 3:45 pm
Not to mention the fact that if the committee is ranking them on who THEY think is the best, and they think FSU backup is so bad, how do they justify putting FSU at 5? Hell, with their logic they should have dropped them completely out of the top 10. If they are going to take that stand, they should go all out with it.

Michigan or Washington and I’m happy. Anybody but bama or UT.

AND ignore the fact that FSU’s back-up will be back for the playoffs by focusing on FSU’s offensive performance against Louisville with a 3rd string QB per the quote above.
This is what is hardest to understand imo. IF they thought FSU wasn’t good enough to be in the top 4 with the backup, who as said will be back for the playoffs, then the committee would have dropped them out of the top 4 after the Florida game, which they won 24-15.
But I guess they justified it with the fact bama needed a miracle to beat auburn and FSU didn’t. And then they just totally reverse and completely ignore the previous week after the conference championship games.

Shouldn’t it be more of Wake Forest being pissed LSU is in their side of the bracket than anything else with the seeding?
re: 83 year old Al Pacino Knocked Up 29 year old Noor Alfallah

Reminded me of this old joke when I heard it
The Old Man
An 80 year old man was having his annual checkup and the doctor asked him how he was feeling. "I've never been better!" he boasted. "I've got an eighteen year old bride who's pregnant and having my child! What do you think about that?"
The doctor considered this for a moment, then said, "Let me tell you a story. I knew a guy who was an avid hunter. He never missed a season.
But one day went out in a bit of a hurry and he accidentally grabbed his umbrella instead of his gun."
The doctor continued, "So he was in the woods and suddenly a grizzly bear appeared in front of him! He raised up his umbrella, pointed it at the bear and squeezed the handle." "And do you know what happened?" the doctor queried.
Dumbfounded, the old man replied "No."
The doctor continued, "The bear dropped dead in front of him!"
"That's impossible!" exclaimed the old man. "Someone else must have shot that bear."
"That's kind of what I'm getting at..." replied the doctor.

Does 10 wins including bowl game mean anything anymore?
Posted by cleetus on 12/10/22 at 10:51 pm
Obviously Saban made the comment on the accomplishment, and LSU has the opportunity for 10 wins with a win over Purdue, but question is does 10 wins have the significance of indicating a great season like it did in years past, especially after the opt out of bowl game years when the bowl game gave you the 10th win.
Imo no question is this a successsful year for LSU and they greatly over achieved…that’s pretty undeniably. I mean who would have thought LSU would be in the SEC championship and top 5 at the end of the regular season. The future is definitely bright.
That said is the 10 win season as prestigious as it used to be?

Sure there are other good to haves happen, but the big 3 are:
Iowa State over TCU
Notre Dame over USC
South Carolina over Clemson

re: Bad feeling it comes down to committee picking 11-2 LSU or 11-1 Georgia if we win out
Posted by cleetus on 11/22/22 at 2:12 pm
TCU or USC need to lose for LSU to make it.
UGA gets in win or lose SEC championship.
OSU/UM knock each other out. (Although wouldn’t surprise me to still see a push for OSU to still make it as a 1 loss team so ideally OSU beats Michigan)
1. OSU/UM
2. UGA
3. TCU
4. USC
5. LSU
Yea UGA would only drop 1 spot with a loss. TCU or USC need to lose, but that’s all secondary as LSU just needs to win and let that work itself out.

think it has to do with HOW Tennessee lost
I don’t think that will play that much in to it. Look at how LSU lost to Tenn, or Oregon lost to UGA. If that was taken into account you’d have to punish teams for struggling to win against teams they should have dominated, I.e Ohio State this past weekend.

2:14 - 2:17 of video. I know I’ll get downvoted, even though I wish the call of lsu possession had held up, but that was the correct call with current rules.
Alabama touched the ball while out of bounds before LSU ever maintained control. Control was never maintained before the ball eventually hit the ground out of LSU hands. Rule sucks. Similarly in a kickoff, if the ball comes to rest at the 1 yard line but receiving team can get to it in time to put one part of the body out of bounds and touch the ball, it’s automatically flagged a kick out of bounds and ball is brought to the 35 yard line. That rule sucks too…depending on what side your own.

As the first and only 2 loss National Champion in the BCS era, it’s only fitting LSU be the first 2 loss National Champion in then CFP era. It’s just this teams destiny to win it all this year.

Not BR, but another example of a completely random murder with no other motive. Some people are just evil.

Chilling surveillance footage captured the moment a Philadelphia gunman murdered a recent Temple University graduate, shooting him in the neck at point blank range in what police believe was a random and unprovoked attack.
Everett Beauregard, 23, who once interned for Congressman Brendan Boyle, took the train from a friend's house on Thursday night and was walking home from his stop when he was gunned down.
Philadelphia police first thought the killing was a botched robbery, but now believe the college grad was picked at random.
The killer hasn't been arrested, so cops have been unable to offer any possible.
