Seems like Landry trying to make Woodward look as bad as possible to gain support to get rid of him.
Otherwise Woodward himself is owed nearly $7M ( LINK

My uneducated guess is that Kelly wanted to clean house due to all the Title IX stuff. I don't know if it was his idea or the admins. The only coach that was retained was Brad Davis who's first year was Orgeron's last season and came after all the Title IX improprieties occurred.
What's interesting is that a few of the guys made there way back to LSU. Don't know if that's a Kelly thing or admin thing but there's a clear preference to hire assistants with LA ties now.

Why is Kyren Lacy a headcase?
Who was his dad?

So no Zalance Heard. Interesting. Wonder if he gets some run at RT against AU.
Anyone know how the DBs that have left the state the last couple of years are doing?
Jacoby Mathews
Derek Williams
Jordan Matthews
Ausberry brothers
Curly Reed
We need some depth at all DB positions. All of these guys were blue chip recruits.

He's a RS Fr and will improve like literally RS Fr does.
Y'all are ridiculous.

Burrow played pretty poorly in 5-6 games that year. In fact his only two decent games before Arky were against La Tech and MSU.

Daniels has the flu too?
2011 had Landry, ODB, La'el Collins, Jeremy Hill, others.

Kinda disappointing for Langston considering he was a top 250 recruit.

I think the TE Zinger too. Carnell Stewart the RT (I think). There may be a couple of other players that were RS'd in 2003.
yes and yes
And really it makes a lot of sense. I don't know all of Woodward's hires off the top of my head (other sports), but outside of Sarkisian he's pulled coaches with several years of HC experiece ... Petersen, Fisher, Buzz Williams, and then Johnson and Mulkey.
I think Riley was probably the dream candidate and he probably didn't show interest when we initially reached out (assume that was the case). Aranda, Napier, Tucker may all turn out to be great HCs, but fact of the matter is they haven't been doing it too long, and none of them have the sucess that Brian Kelly does. Outside of Saban and Swinney, he's easily the most consistent and accomplished HC in all of CFB. And we just jacked him from a traditional blueblood.
This is a great hire, no other way to put it.

re: If Riley says no so late that we lose Aranda, would that be considered a huge fail?

Aranda is probably on a similar timeline right? (Thinking Big 12 title game is the limiting factor here and not the playoff).
Dunno but he get's an auto extension everytime he wins 8 games.
