Ramsey's - home cooking, several locations. Hot Brown is signature dish for area, they have a good one
Malone's - steaks
Carsons
Drakes
Joe Bologna's - old school pizza
Jeff Rubys - expensive steaks
Proud Mary BBQ - outside of Lex, good setting on the River, take the old Richmond Rd route to get there this time of year
AP Suggins - neighborhood pub, good food
Columbia's - old school steak house - downtown location is best
Chevy Chase Inn - CCI - old school no frills bar
If Keeneland is running try to make it out,
if not running can still go on the grounds and walk around and see lots of horses and the grounds are beautiful
Cant help with Bardstown

I've seen them carry 3 head coaches off the field on shoulders after beating some mediocre A&M teams
you have also seen LSU hoist 3 national championship trophies in the last 20 years, meanwhile in College Station they have nothing to hoist except each other...

Fowler put on Instagram a couple of weeks ago he is doing FLA/ Utah then FSU/ LSU
My son lived there the last 2 years. No issues and he studied in his apartment all the time. Maintenance was not really responsive but fortunately not any major issues. Now the complex behind south gate is sketchy as hell

ETA: oh wait, maybe I misread, is Airline also closed or something? if that's the case then I have no frickin clue ...maybe a pirogue.
I believe Airline is open but DOTD LA511 says to not use Airline because of Ida cleanup. Just trying to make sure Airline is open all the way

with the bridge fire/ lane closure on I-10 EB, what is the best route to get to NOLA.
Is Airline open all the way?
Is I-310 open, it appears to be just past the fire site?
Thanks in advance

American Airlines lists conditions for fee waiver, don't change origin or destination city. so how do you get around this, if you need to change out of MSY to LAF

They play travel ball on the weekends.
The better ones do for sure, but LLL has over 500 kids in it, they are not all playing ball all weekend

Some of y’all don’t understand what Little League is. Little League is the name of the league.
Just like Dixie Youth or Cal Ripken
The Little League teams are travel ball teams.
These teams aren’t made up of your Wreck All Star teams. These teams are made up of legit majors and AAA travel kids that play together all summer.
this is completely false. Little League is a Rec league that is comprised of 8-10 teams. The league is drafted and each team 2-3 stud players, then 5-6 average players and then 2-3 below average players.
At Lafayette Little League the major division is comprised of 11-12 yr olds only and is re-drafted each year. Also there is a rule in place that in order to participate in all stars a player must have been in the league the previous year. This was put in place to prevent 12 yr olds jumping into the league just for all stars.
So yes the all star team is made up of travel ball players but chances are they play on different travel teams. BUT the common denominator is they all played a full season in the Rec league. The kid has to play a minimum number of games to eligible for all stars.
Also LLL plays majority of the games during the week to free up the kids and families to do whatever they want on weekends
James group is now Primoris (PSC). They were originally TL James, bought out on the 90’s by Angelo Iafrate (sp), despite not being owned any longer by the James family they still went by James Construction because of the name familiarity. Just recently james has begun to go by PSC.
Jeff James (owner of JB James) is a member of the TL James family

Actually no.
actually yes, project was a public bid thru the Causeway commission
if JB James Construction is the same group that was James Construction and currently operates as PSC (Primoris Service Corp) then yes it's the lowest bidder and that whole company can GFT.
same family, different company

two keys was the best but it is closed, I think lost their lease.
downtown bars
Inifinity, Green Lantern, Bluegrass Tavern, Henry Clay Public House, Wildcat Saloon
Distillery District, edge of downtown - new area restaurants, bars, brew pubs, axe throwing place etc
Chevy Chase
Chevy Chase Inn - dive bar, best in Lex, Lynagh's Irish Pub, Campus Pub
Limestone area - where Two keys was
Tin Roof, also some others in this area
good late night eats - Tolly Ho on Broadway

definitely plan on hitting Keeneland one day. It is a great time, weather should be great.
A couple good steak places - Jeff Ruby's opened downtown and Malones in Landsdowne. Old school steak house downtown is Columbia's.
Dudleys downtown is very good, Carsons and Coles 735 are good as well.
A few low key places in Chevy Chase - Bourbon & Toulouse (Cajun), next to Chevy Chase Inn, best dive bar in town, also Charlie Browns, Bear & Butcher and Josies- good breakfast/ brunch.
Merrick Inn good old style club restaurant, great patio, bit of older crowd.
Good pizza - Joe Bologna's on Maxwell, its in an old church.
In addition to the bourbon tours, the horse farms also offer tours, Claiborne, Lanes End, 2 of the bigger ones, both have Derby winners standing stud. Also the Horse Park is pretty neat and has a complete history of the horse not just racing, but has several exhibits about racing in Ky.

Hit up a liquor barn. They always have some special themed bottles especially around the derby. They have a kentucky bourbon section. There are several locations around town
