I would put the ARC in another room like my bedroom. But if you must move forward with this BS your are going to have to hook either the ARC or the AVR up to the TV via the optical cable and the other device via the HDMI arc input. You will need to toggle between the two in the audio settings of...

1. What’s your source ? 2. That Sub won’t work with the Arc 3. You will likely have to go into TV settings and toggle Audio Return Channel on and off as needed. 4. Why ? Seems like a waste of money ...
