re: Updated 2026 LSU Roster

Fair enough, but he has one now I thought. I did not think walk on was a thing starting with the 105 count. Should be no distinction.
I live in Decatur and yes he is actually from here in North Alabama having played at local high school.

Wonderful for him !
For me it did.

For these guys, not so much.
I agree and think this is a Lane created event. I am ok with however they want to announce.

The EDGE from Missouri likes us. He visited twice!!
Pay them , feed them, have them practice and play the best .

But more to add - and still taking some top guys I believe.

The word is all spots are open- must work for them. Lots of opportunities.
Excellent news.

A known SEC quality runner.
Yes they stomped the team that was #1 in SEC rank after the full season. I think that pretty much makes them better than anything the SEC had this year.
True. If Kiffin believes in those backups, I am with him. I do not know the standing of their starters but do believe some will test the water, agreement or not. But I also am not expecting any mass migration from Ole Miss to LSU. We will see soon enough how many enter portal.
You are correct. No matter the number that end up transferring to play for Coach Kiffin, it will not be enough for some of the expectations.
We still have at minimum 15 more on offense alone to go. QB, RB, WR, Oline. Added two more on D already today plus more coming on D . I expect 30-35 total when dust clears plus potential HS signees.

Which goes to my question/point. They are not for sure until the portal closes and they can no longer enter the portal.

Portal Question

Posted by ValleyTNTIGER on 1/7/26 at 8:38 pm
Since we now understand players can enter portal , then remove themselves by signing with their current school ( D Williams for example), but then re-enter the portal to transfer (supposedly)

When in fact can we say a player is for sure on the roster for spring? 1) they are not in the portal when it closes, correct? Also, once someone agrees to stay removing the portal tag?

I will be glad when the portal closes and we can confirm who is a TIGER !!

Great to hear. I am very excited to hear stories like this. What has been missing has been hard work towards individual improvement and team goals. Sure the team wanted to complete and win but just seemed like too many did not take it to conclusion of working hard enough for it. Too many holes on offense play to make it feel like they wanted it bad enough. Many fine individuals I am sure but product on the field looked lost. I blame the coaches more than players. They let it happen. Players like your son will only make this team better.

Certainly hope so.

It’s not over , until it’s over .

And they sign
the dotted line.
Looking for commitments, agreements to terms Friday. Signing when they visit in next few weeks.
Or two. You need at least 4 backs in This offense and SEC play.
Ohio state has an excellent program and team. But Miami took it to them. Even more so than what Indiana did last month.

We shall see who is top 5 teams, but all the games without the charity teams involved have been played very well. I think OSU got out played and out coached last night. Miami is on a roll right now. And will give the remaining SEC team a true test next weekend.
I want the rest of the country to notice the level of refereeing in SEC. Perhaps national news might nudge them toward improvement, but will not hold my breath.
So far the games have been done well by the other league refs. All have not called every little deal.
