re: Ram or GMC?

I have a Chevy 2500 with 6.0 gas. Pull 10k trailer regularly. Very happy with the power and truck handles the load very nice. Had a 2002 dodge diesel which had better torque but the Chevy is not far off. Unless I'm pulling much over 10k often I see no need for the diesels.
No experience with the Ram gas engine so this may not be much help.

The people were friendly. Even the Parisians. We don’t speak French but made a minor effort and used a translate app. Even without that though the people were welcoming
I thought this also.
Countryside also very nice. Will go again and see more. Food every where was too notch.

Since 1990 I've had a GMC, Ford, 2 dodge, and now a Chevy.
The GMC and Chevy have been the best in reliability. Other than one of the dodges which was just a work I've put right at 200k on all of them.

Wild Azalea trail in Kisatchie. From Woodworth to Lake Valentine is 25 miles.
Backbone trail, Caroline Dormon, and sandstone can combine for 28 mile loop. Also Kisstchie just north of Alexandria.
Lake Chicot state park has a 20 mile loop arpund it. Been years since I've been. Easy trail. Not sure if it's still open.
Black Creek trail near Hattiesburg. I did about 10 miles and it was nice. I've heard some other parts overgrown but it's been a few years since I've been.
Clear springs in Mississppi. North of Crosby. Nice little 9 mile loop. Good camping in areas.
Close place out of state.
Pinhoti trail in Alabama. 7 hour drive from BR
Sispey wilderness in Alabama. Also 7 hours.
Eagle rock loop in Arkansas. Also 7 hours.
Lonestsr trail north of Houston. 90 miles about. I'd rather hike the Wild Azalea 3 times. It has plenty road walking.

Many trips in the US solo. Mostly backpacking but always having a few days to see some towns and local life.
3 trips to Europe last 2 years solo. I learned a walking food tour is a great thing. Gives you some people to eat with and have a few cool conversations. Never make many concrete plans. Just a general direction to go. See what I wanted how I wanted.

I read Lonesome Dove first. Then the rest in chronological order.
I would recommend that way.

Nikumaroro Island is less than 10k miles from Antarctica.
Well a large portion of the earth is within 10,000 miles of Antartica so not sure that is a gotcha.
Isnt that just south of the equator?
I've gotten tsa pre on every flight using the number on my twic for the last 5 years or so. Just enter it when I book ticket.
Unless I'm not understanding what you are saying.

Sometimes I have had that work, sometimes I haven't. This was back around 2019 or so when I was flying frequently
In general it worked a few times, then stopped just FYI
. It may work it may not work.
Works everything for me. Get tsa pre.
Fly about 4 times a year fwiw.
It was strange. Over 3 years I lived there, I hit 2. Always at night. Mostly out on the plains around billings. But saw quite a few dead.
Many dead owls on the hwy in Montana. Haven't sen many elsewhere.

That and stop drop and roll would save my life one day.
Plus some road walking, but not a crazy amount. There is a loop around Cheaha state park that would be a good 2 or 3 day trip. Can't remember the trails that make it up.
Backbone trail is my favorite trail in LA. 8 miles. Cool sandstone rock formations. Camping at Bayou Kisatchie campground. Has a cool creek for kids to play in.
