I thought about saying this earlier, but didn't feel like starting the usually coaching shite storm. I interpreted this as a hint to show that he could be interested. NOT IMPLYING THAT THE CURRENT HEAD COACHING POSITION WILL/SHOULD BE ADDRESSED IN ANY WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM. But, hypothetically speaking, IMO I would only want Leach as a OC, not a head coach. In my honest opinion, he puts too much emphasis on the offense and not nearly enough on the defense. IMO, so please do not jump my arse, his style of coaching would not stand a chance week in/week out in the SEC.
"No, they want to knock our players and Coaches and then right here before the start of the season talk about them going to the pro's."

Since when is projecting that a beloved Tiger will play in the NFL considered "knocking"?
Distraction? Maybe, but that's still pretty irrational. Seems like a compliment to me. Disregard the Cheerios, it had to have been more along the lines of this...

My Paintbrush Application masterpiece... I know most of them look the same, but I like them. Crooked one could be a drunk tiger.
If you wear your hat like Les, you could probably fit two flasks underneath it.

Right, I usually do not goose hunt unless it's outlaw season. In the afternoons, when we're bored around the camp, we'll bring 6-12 speck decoys and usually limit out. I couldn't imagine putting out a rag spread for 2 specks. Im assuming y'all like to hammer the snows and blues, in that case, then yes- you can not beat a rag spread (not implying that you didn't already know this).

You're right, the noise has nothing to do with it. It's probably from the children drawing smiley faces on it all the time.

I'd definitely buy them for $125...As for the rags, of course they will be more effective. But, if you're throwing some speck decoys out into a duck decoy spread, then I would much rather 6 of these.

I haven't driven around from store to store searching for them- I simply ask if/when I'm somewhere that could possibly carry them. As for the internet, I literally have the worst luck when it comes to ordering online. It is ALWAYS either the wrong color/size, shipped to the wrong location, or on backorder. I'd rather spend my money on a tangible object. Also, if anyone here has thrown them, do they hold up well?

Hackberry Hustlers

I've been trying to get my hands on some for a while... I've tried Bowie, Academy, Wal-Mart, and Superior (as well as SAM's, J&M, and MF in Orange Beach). No one carries them, and most have never heard of them. I went to Hackberry R&G while I was down there, saw them in the store, but everyone was out guiding :moon:
Other than the internet, does anyone know where I can find some?

re: Shotgun for Quail Hunting

you can't really go wrong with a gun for quail hunting. It's not like you'll need 3 1/2's or need to be concerned with gas/inertia. Most quail hunter's prefer a traditional (often stylish or rare) firearm. I would look into L.C. Smith's, various browning's (superposed*, citori). Ruger's Red Lable is a solid gun too, as well as Winchester's 101.
This is certainly satire. Why take the article so seriously? The entire article is not bashing our players or coaching staff, it's mocking the whining fans. Do you seriously think Guilbeau wasn't laughing while writing this? It's a nega-tiger's fantasy with (somewhat) believable substance; but it's only believable because it's possible. Very very very unlikely, but since it's "possible" he knows it'll cause some commotion. I'd be angry if this was meant to be a serious article, but it's not. Guilbeau obviously gets a kick out of stirring the shite because he knows how sensitive we are when it comes to our football.

the noise and vibrations coming from death valley and the pmac have got to take a tole on sheets of glass that large
I'm sure scheduling is much more complicated than how I made it out to be, i.e. $/contracts. Also makes you appreciate the fact that we are in the SEC...It's unfortunate that Boise has to suffer for building a great program. Degraded only for successfully playing the hand they were dealt. Just seems like OOC games are the only answer. I'd rather not turn this into a play-off system rant.
I think Boise State is a good program, and I also think Kellen Moore is a top 3 Heisman candidate. But, in no way, shape, or form do I believe they should have a shot at the title game. If they are so confident in their program, then why wouldn't they schedule a more difficult OOC schedule? This is the only way to justify Boise's creditability in regards to their program's prestige. To be the best, you have to beat the best; and they do nothing to prove this IMO. Their fallacious arguments involving their previous win over Oklahoma are simply ridiculous. Of course it's a great win, anyone in the country can agree to that; but, they have all season to prepare for one or two great performances! Can you imagine LSU circling VT on their calendar, KNOWING that a win would more than likely result in an undefeated regular season? Then, having only ONE more tough opponent? Every team in the SEC plays games as tough and/or tougher week in and week out. Every one has some cupcakes scheduled here and there, but Boise St. literally goes on a pastry binge for the entire regular season. By no means does this even compare to the weekly "life or death" grind that's found in the SEC.

2011 LSU Football Schedule

VT***
Wyoming
Oregon St. (Home)
New Mexico St.
Toledo (Home)
San Jose St.
LA Tech (Home)
Hawaii (Home)
Idaho
Fresno St. (Home)
Nevada
Utah St. (Home)

On the last thread I had LSU 24-17, but now I'm leaning more towards 27-13
Did he mention JJ getting injured? Or does he just assume Lee will prosper? Realistic predictions in regard to the record, but I can not in my wildest dreams see Bama skunking us at home. I like how he takes every ranted topic and embellishes it, (CLM leaving- but on his own terms, Lee taking the reigns, Saban routing us at Home) funny article.
"As for the prop, it is way under the boat, these are diesel motors and the prop is not at the back of the boat. It's not a fricking bass boat."

Hahaha, couldn't have said it better myself.

I don't aim, I "point". Have always been a pretty good wing shot too.
