He forgot:
6/5 and 6/7: Arkansas defeats Washington State and eliminates them from the CWS Tournament on 6/7

6/5: Florida defeats Oregon State.

SEC is now 3-5 against the PAC-16
Yeah, we're losing, but they certainly aren't undefeated. So take that Fake Larry Scott!

Maybe he just wants to sell more Orangebloods subscriptions to Arkansas people.

That could be very likely.

To be honest though, I think this is propaganda directed towards A&M. Whether or not this Arky thing is true, it only matters if A&M thinks it is. Then,A&M thinks that the SEC is just as unstable as the Big XII and A&M won't consider leaving.

The more I think about it, the more it makes sense to me.
Arky getting turned down? Haha, yeah right! :rotflmao:

I think they got it backwards!

Even Austin Community College would turn down joining the Big XII-lite!
I bet ITT gave 'em a :doublebird: when UT came begging for them to join!

This is Chip Brown we're talking about.
The plane is no longer available for tracking!

Probably means the PAC-10 officials just got caught where they shouldn't be.

Maybe just gambled away all the money from Oregon State to try and buy UT :rotflmao:

Remember this is an OrangeBloods article, thus an article published by UT's PR department.

The Sooner fans don't like being seen as UT's property one bit. The Aggies also don't like that they are seen as the pansies that couldn't quite get away from UT.

I would not be surprised if the animosity between these schools and UT lead to them heading east to the SEC, even though OU had wanted to go west.

TTU fans are also regretting not going to the PAC-10 or MWC fans, but they understand that without UT, they don't really have much.

I assumed the Big 12-2 would be locked down for another 10 years after this.

Deloss said that there is nothing to prevent the schools from leaving and there won't ever be. There isn't even a penalty proposed in the new contract.

The new contract is also banking on a dream TV deal to fall from the sky. :rotflmao: Most are saying that this time next year, the fallout will continue.

Big 10 says that it is only going to half expansion talk for 6-8 months. I guarantee they get this started again and UT will be licking its chops. :rotflmao:

PAC-10 plane is in Las Vegas

Not sure if Scott is still on it though. It is owned by an Oregon booster who lent it to Scott to sort out the expansion deals.

Any ideas as to what they are up to?

Some people have suggested Vegas as the neutral site for a PAC-10 CG

Ted Miller might not really know anything...just said that Vegas sounds cool.

They were able to stop the Pac Ten's widely-trumpeted expansion plans

This is true. Also, it has been stated by Liucci that Slive had been talking to A&M way before the missile crisis.

Notice how everyone knew exactly where Scott was but had no clue where Slive was until he popped up on A&M's campus. That dude is a ninja and very smart. He knew what was coming and had a plan.

Yes, the Big 10 expanded and got some bonus points money wise, but as a conference, the SEC is still going to be stronger and much more dominant on the field.

A&M is still our ace in the hole when expansion resumes. That's our home run.

If you ignore the frat boy pic and just read, there's some good stuff.

Basically says that Slive, Delaney, and Scott aren't just going to sit around and be happy with what they have. The expansion train has begun and it won't stop in the near future.

He says that Delaney's Big 10 will likely raid the Big East.
Slive won't be happy and probably pay a visit to see how A&M is doing, maybe OU too. (The way I see it, this A&M hate of UT is only going to be greater)
Then the missile crisis begins again.

OSU staying in Big XII

Says that the conference is very viable as it is right now and they will be staying.

Behind the scenes:
UT-> :spank: <-OSU

The champions of the Atlantic Coast, Big East, Big Ten, Big 12, Pac-10 and Southeastern Conferences will have annual automatic qualification for a BCS game through the 2013 regular season, based on mathematical standards of performance during the 2004-2007 regular seasons

This means when 2013 hits and the 9-team Big XII comes round to getting evaluated, the BCS will be critical. If only 3 of the 6 teams that they play are ever ranked regularly, which is about right, with TTU and A&M switching to be ranked, that doesn't look good. Plus, those 5 gimme schools don't help. There won't be a championship game either.
Things don't look good for that BCS auto bid if TTU leaves and the Big XII survives.

I know you are playing the devils advocate, but looking at the potential schedules and teams left, it doesn't look good for them to retain their BCS bid.
quote:

what's the word on teh buyout?

The schools are locked into the conference if they sign this deal. They would be stuck for anywhere from 4-8 years.

The buyout OSU is talking about it the money from CU and Neb. The other five schools agreed to give it to OU, UT, and A&M. This makes OSU and TTU very angry.
Cue Hulk Smash audio.
