The fact that the first time we played Bama, the temps were cool-keeping their bigger defensive linemen and linebackers from getting worn out as quickly. I for one think playing on the turf indoors with warmer temps on the field will not only favor the faster team, but also the lighter-more in shape team. That being LSU of course :geauxtigers:

"Just sayin', the night before the Liberty Bowl when some Arkansas players did the exact same thing (snuck out after checking in), Petrino sent them home.

Now, suspending 22 players might not be the smartest thing to do if Miles wants to win, but it's the ethical thing to do."

 :lol:Bobby Petrino is your head coach. Please don't lecture us on what is "ethical".

Hattiesburg or Houston. The committee owes us after sending us to ucla last year :geauxtigers:
CSF bats are non-existent vs gausman and the tigers win another close game.

jabriel might not even be the best player in jackson. watch out for a kid named drae bowles from jackson christian school to be a big time recruit next year.
Hopefully it happens today, but considering that teams will load the box and play man on the outside, why don't we just have jj throw a bomb to tt or rr on a passing situation in plus territory. since we basically have no confidence in him throwing in heavy traffic why not? either it goes for a big play or possibly pi or a pick works the same as a punt.
the key to disrupting any offense is quick penetration on the defensive line. pressure from the dt especially will greatly help us in terms of our fear of sending the house and him scrambling. if at the same time our de's can pressure while having the discipline to keep contain, newton will be in for a long afternoon. don't be suprised if you hear the name nevis more times than usual, which is saying something. :geauxtigers:
wow hunter caught 1 pass on mathieu and now tm is not that good. considering that hunter was the high jump champion in hs and has a 7 inch height advantage to begin with i would be concerned if he didn't catch that pass. but seriously, tm is a turnover machine and i love the feeling of seeing 14 on the field. :geauxtigers:

Mingo :ahh: :ahh: Moffit
The two best programs in college football right now are Alabama and Florida. Program referring to success over the course of a few years not just 1 single year. Could oregon and ohio state beat florida this year? Maybe but what about the past few years and even the next few years. Hopefully LSU can win big this year and get back to elite status next year :geauxtigers:
LSU 33
WVU 10

Jasper has 1 more field goal then wvu has points  :geauxtigers:

i think the common denominator in most possible teams to beat bama will be that they(bama) will be A.on the road B.in front of what are sure to be hostile crowds and C.will be playing against teams who will matchup well in some form or fashion.

Arkansas: they are at home and have an incredible offense, especially passing game, to matchup with bama's secondary. their one problem may be stopping bama from rushing for 250 and keeping mallet of the field.

Florida: ok while bama will be at home, florida will have just as much talent and probably more athleticism on D than bama. plus you can bet that urb and the returners from last year will be hungry to get revenge.

South Carolina: many people see this as a trap game for Saban and Co. i do also. south carolina will have an experienced qb and talented wr's to throw to along with what is typically a d that plays inspired at home. the thing that works most in the favor for the cocks is the fact that bama will be coming off a very emotional and tough game against florida.

Lastly, LSU: this game will be played in front of probably the most hostile crowd in the sec and contrary to popular belief, bama has not dominated against us over the past two years. some might even say that bama was lucky that lee threw 4 ints in 2008 and that pp cramped up last year. but anyways, we will matchup well in the secondary to bamas wr unit and that confidence in the db's will allow chavis to stack the box in run situations and then turn mingo, adams, and montgomery loose on obvious passing downs.

Overall, i feel like psu won't challenge bama due to lack of elite skill and auburn will be catching bama when most of their inexperienced players will have almost a full year of sec football under their belt. i'll say that bama losses will come from USCe and LSU to give them a 10-2 record where we would also be 10-2 and win the head to head tie breaker and get to ATL for a rematch with UF :geauxtigers:
RR go route right by dre "my swag can't touch PP's swag" kirkpatrick for the winning touchdown
:pimp: :geauxtigers:
Chief has been running the same defense for 20 years. I as a fan who likes winning would rather have him stick to his defense and not rex ryan's style of D. What chavis is all about is playing fast and not having his players thinking instead of reacting and playing downhill. There would be mass confusion if chavis had 1000 different blitz packages like RR.

Secondly, why don't we wait for a season where chavis and our D aren't on the field for 40 minutes a game to judge their defensive prowess. Let's wait until we have an upgraded D line. From watching a lot of UT games as a kid living in west TN, i can tell you that Chief wants a strong defensive line that can get pressure with 4 instead of having to blitz on every 3rd and 6. If our D line is good enough to do that, then we'll be seeing PP and MC flying down the field a lot because of pick 6's because we let them play zone and let them keep one eye on the receiver and another eye on the ball.

I seem to recall that about this time last year ron brooks looked like he would be getting the starting nod at safety opposite of CJ. Then brandon taylor suddenly started lighting it up and moved ahead of RB on the depth chart. Who are some guys we feel could do the same this fall? My vote goes to Michael Brockers

How would you feel if you were a LDE taking on a double team from Hurst and Williford :speechless:
Has to be the blown 21 point halftime lead vs ut. Living in tennessee for the day after that happened was the worst day ever. I was so pissed. I was in middle school back then and i remember it being a monday game so during the tuesday morning announcements they gave a big congrats to the volunqueers :banghead:  But i got the last laugh because that year they didn't even go to a bowl game  :spank: :doublebird:
