fricking hell... I just read that Jon Dee Graham passed away yesterday... He's played with a lot of people but I know him best as a member of the True Believers..

Requiescat!

A bIt too inclusive and synthpathetic for me, but certainly detailed and overall a decent intro to the late '70s/early 80s era

I just watched the whole video... not bad and it gave me a few things to check out..

Kinda cool that he included the Exploding Hearts at the end.. many of those songs were co-written by NOLA's own King Louie Bankston (RIP)! It's an incredible record... RIP most of the band.. tragic..

Anne Magnuson from Bongwater dancing around in the video... and I forget Jack Irons played with them for a bit..

As it should always be...
Listened to the audiobook a few years back and saw it this past Saturday... I really enjoyed it but didn't remember a lot of the scientific specifics from the book.. didnt really matter though..

The missus didnt read/listen to the book but loved the movie.. I think more so than I did..

Really bummed I couldn't get down to NOLA (no Chicago show) for this one...

Def one of the most underrated bands over the years...

A little on the garagey/punky side, but there's no thread for that...

NOLA band opening for Redd Kross in a couple of weeks at No Dice (old Hi-Ho Lounge)..
