I'm a die hard tiger fan, I posted it cause I thought it was interesting. I'm born and raised here in BR. And I'm a miles supporter too fwiw. And I don't blame LF for pleading the fifth on sabans coaching future, who would want to field a million questions on something you have no control over. All I was saying was i would have to believe the recruit would want to know what sabans future with the program would be in order to make the most informed decision about his future

How would that not be a question/answer he would want to hear about first hand? Just seems crazy to me. You would have to think that would be a game changing piece of info for such a big decision

Didn't know if this should be in coaching changes or in recruiting board, it hits both topics really

re: How long until miles gets mentioned as a elite coach?

Who cares if he speaks well on the mic, the dude can coach and recruit. I'll take that any day of the week over someone who just sounds good and looks the part...i.e. Mark richt, Mack brown
Help with Miles stats
Posted by Bayou Blaster on 9/4/11 at 8:24 am
I'm having a hard time finding les miles coaching stats on TD. I know there was a thread that had an incredible breakdown of ol' lester's stats but I can't find it. Any tiger fans feeling generous enough this morn to help?

app:
coconut shrimp-much more dynamic than what you would expect-like 6-8 bucks
entrees:
thai coon -16 bucks

both entrees are awesome and they have good sized portions...good luck on your search brother...here is a good resource for options-www.nomenu.com and then go to the all restaurants list and start searching

youre gonna be hard pressed to find something good, flat screen tvs etc is not really the new orleans restaurant style

cooter browns has tvs but is a bar atmosphere and its in the vicinity of clancys...Clancys is bad arse, and doesnt have much notoriety tho, i suggest you bump the reservations up and try and swing both of them

how could i have forgotten bozo's, toss those others out the window, bozo's is king in my book. those dudes know whats up, too bad it's so far away from my home...cassamentos is much closer so
my only real knock on bozo's is the price, i cant really remember about the price at cassamento's (this is important cause im a grad student at lsuhsc which means im broke...)

glassman, i absolutely love fried oysters. it's by far my favorite type of poboy and one of my favorite foods across all genres. I ate at cassamento's once last year for the first time and thought it was simply the same as most(dont get me wrong it was certainly at or near the top as far as quality...other places i have in mind Parkway, mahoneys, Kjeans, Chimes[BR]) other places that serve fried oysters here in nola. i know the prestige of the place, but am i missing something more? and by the way regardless of your answer i will be going to check it out again so i guess that's an answer to my own question...oh and do you know if they switched the vendor who supplies there oysters or location that the oysters come from? or did i screw up by getting fried oysters when they really specialize in oysters in some other kind of way? help me out my fellow food fiend!!
Just thinking about fried oysters is a glorious day....

La Thai (uptown nola)
Posted by Bayou Blaster on 9/6/10 at 10:13 am
I ate there last night and it was awesome. You certainly have to be somewhat adventerous as thai food is full of flavor, but if you are you wont regret this decision.
we got the:
APPS-
summer rolls - it's served cold, somewhat spicy, pretty good
dumplings- some of the best ive ever had
coconut shrimp- your prob thinking..."hey B blaster everyone and their momma has coconut shrimp...not so fast my friend, ive never had coconut shrimp that was this dynamic, it was the shite, bottom line
stuffed chicken wings- it was good, just not on the same level as the other dishes
ENTREES-
Thai Coon- ive got one thing to say, How could one dish have so much flavor? at 16 bucks, it's a hearty serving, but you simply cannot stop eating it
Paht Thai- It was the best ive ever had- chicken and shrimp, layers of flavor that are simply unbelievable, and a large portion to say the least
Spicy Red Curry with beans- Whoa thats spicy, but come on guys im pretty sure you can handle it...this is south la...i'd choose the other two entrees before this one, but dont get me wrong this one was great
Dessert-(this was for the ladies, im more partial to spicy/salty stuff myself)
Red velvet cake- it was great, the icing was perfect and the cake was dense
choc turtle cheesecake- this was more my style, had a choc mousse on top and was a great finish to the spicy food we had just ate
This combo of flavors totally rocked my tastebud's/stomach's world and am currently headed to my throne...you know what they say, "Spicy in, Spicy out", pray for me while i wage war with last nights splendors
