re: Evel Knievel

Posted by tigerinms on 8/8/26 at 1:09 pm to
actually had a truck driver come into my work the other day and after talking to him found out he was Bubba Blackwell the stuntman who broke all of Knievels's jumping records.
was a very interesting discussion and he is just a good ole country boy from Alabama.
was telling me about all the bones he broke and he still gets around better than me.

re: new car extended warranty

Posted by tigerinms on 7/28/26 at 9:04 am to
my company has alot of company vehicles which we used to never purchase extended warranties on.
it took one truck to show us they are worth what they cost.
these days because of all the electronics alone they will pay for themselves on one repair.
also with all the issues new vehicles are having its nice to have that peace of mind.
.
There was a man in AK that did this for a good while. They found him eaten some time later on.

Believe Discovery had a bit on it call Into The Grizzly Maze. Might be off on the name.

On October 5, 2003, Treadwell and his girlfriend Amie Huguenard were killed and almost fully eaten by a 28-year-old male bear whose stomach was later found to contain human remains and clothing.

Timothy Treadwell was guys name.
he got himself and girlfriend killed.
all kind of ignorance gong on.
saw documentary about him and in video you can tell girlfriend was not as comfortable as him around the bears.
there is actual video of their last few minutes on earth before being killed.
my son is a doctor and daughter in law is a nurse so i trust them to know way more than me.
that being said anyone that wanted to see our granddaughter when she was born had to be vaccinated.
this being our first grandchild i was gonna do whatever it took to see her at the birth.
once she reached a certain age they relaxed alot but this new generation is something else!
have some friends that got a 3 page email on all the rules for newborn so i guess it could be alot worse.
even feedings and food are totally different for new generation.
told my wife i have no idea how we raised 2 boys without killing them after seeing how newer generation are raising kids.

re: How bad is your handwriting

Posted by tigerinms on 7/14/26 at 6:53 am to
Get compliments on my handwriting all the time because I’m old and when I took drafting and design in high school and college we actually printed everything
Still have to do alot of printing in job I’m doing now so I keep in practice so I’m sure that is only reason.
Cursive is legible but that is about it.
Something money cant replace is time with your family.
Having young kids you will never be able to get this time that is so important in your kids life and your relationship with them back.
Stay put, spend time with your family and work on new business.
You will never regret any time you spend with family but will regret not spending time with them.
Time will come they are on their own and you would kill to go back to days when they were young.
This is best time of your life and don’t want to miss experiences and making memories with kids.
Later in life that is all you will have.
Trazodone and gabapentin mixture for my dog. Extremely upset with thunder or firework.
Will bark to begin with, then whine and then run into bathroom.
So sad to see I try to comfort him best I can and feel so sorry for him.
Never had a dog do this so really confusing why he does it not sure if past trauma before we rescued him or he doesn’t like the vibrations on his body.
Got a tight fitting doggie vest that seems to help some.
The surround view with trailer package is amazing on my 1500.
First time I hooked up trailer few days after getting truck and turned on signal I had no idea WTH was going on but I loved the views.

re: Putting my dog down tomorrow

So sorry for your loss.
I totally get the pain you are feeling.
Lost our 16 year old chihuahua about 8 months ago.
had to put him to sleep after he had a stroke.
both my grown boys drove 1-1/2 hours to say their goodbyes and we all cried, me especially.
Have lost pets before but this one hurt worse that any of the others because he was first inside dog we had ever had.
Him being with us so long and being a part of my boys life growing up sure didnt help with the pain.
Shed some tears burying him on our property.
But you and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

If you ever plan to get married I would keep policy
if you cancel now and renew later policy with cost more since premiums are based on age and health
Very smart coworker once told me if you aren’t messing up you aren’t doing a damn thing. Found this to be the truth after 38 years at current job.
No way not to make mistakes and best thing to do is to own it and learn from it.
saw facebook post scouts were at his last game.
anxious to see how this plays out.

re: How smart is your dog?

Posted by tigerinms on 5/11/26 at 3:41 pm to
my shnoodle is very smart but very hard headed.
he is the most vocal dog i have ever had.
has a low growl when he needs to go out or needs food or water and will get up to a bark if you ignore him after a couples of low growls..
also can tell tone of my truck way before i pull into our long driveway.
isnt afraid of any dog or person that invades his space but let it thunder one time and he is in bathroom hyper ventilating.
very weird he loves people and animals away from home (like doggy daycare)
had choice of being with my wife, boys and new grandbaby or my mom.
well wife.boys and grandbaby won out.
what really sucks is my mom lives in same town as my son we went to visit.
it was a really rushed visit after last minute change of plans (son got off early)
wasnt time to go visit my mom.
we could of invited my mom and dad over but my son only wanted his mom, dad and brother over.
plan to go visit mom and dad next weekend i have off.
while not a toy
my scnoodle loves dog tv on youtube.
he will not take his eye off of the screen
he now associates noises with certain animals and hunts like hell on my 3-1/2 acres.
looking at some ole pics not long ago really got to me.
to see how fast kids grew up and remembering all the people in my life that are no longer here.
i advise anyone that will listen to make experiences with family because it wont be long till your kids are too cool to be around you.
wish at Christmas instead of buying all these really nice presents that get forgotten before long i had spent that money on vacations and trips with family.
Geesh if they took 4 inches from mine it would then be -3.
tell my boys all the time only difference in me being their dad or mom is 1 inch.
been hearing about him a long time.
actually my alma mater.
hope we can keep mlb off of him.
remember him and his son used to come to auctions together.
sure hate it for him and all his family.
never know what anyone is going through so im not one to judge people who do commit suicide.
