Sorry if this has been discussed.
Is it plausible that Gunnar really wanted to play on the same team as he brother but realized that Indiana sucked so he backed out and went with the best team?
Norte dame figures it out at the last second and gives his brother an undeserving spot on their team to lure Gunnar.

Vegas doesn't care who wins. They want enough bets placed on each team so they make money regardless of the outcome.
