Co-ed Softball Team Names
Posted by BayouBengal13 on 5/16/10 at 10:23 am
I posted this in the O-T Lounge yesterday, but didn't find one that I really liked. I need a clever name for a co-ed softball team, that isn't really nasty.

Maybe one of the guys can step up and fill that role. They'll find someone.

Not a regular, but when I do go up there I have an uncle that lives just across the Iowa state line in Crescent. It is between Omaha and Council Bluffs. We stay at his house, so never had to worry about a hotel.

re: Fair or not, the real issue with Les Miles....

So, Les Miles only won the NC in 2007 because he had Saban's players? Well I guess that means if we had rehired Curly Hallman in '05 then he coulda won one too? I don't care who recruited the players and how good they were before, if Miles didn't know what he was doing the NC wouldn't have happened.
re: Tiger Fans

I'm not saying that we should be happy when we lose, especially if it is a screw up like the Ole Miss game, I'm just saying not to bash the coaches and players on this board. I just hate for any of us being negative to cost us any recruits. I know that they read boards like this one and don't want us to be the cause of them deciding to go anywhere else. LSU is known for having some of the best fans in the country, so let's act like it.

Tiger Fans
Posted by BayouBengal13 on 1/31/10 at 12:39 am
I am a Tiger fan as are most of us that visit this board, so let's all act like fans and support our team no matter what. Sure, they do things that don't make us happy, but look at our team. We have a top 10 class coming in this year, as we have had for the past few years, in addition to what we have verbally committed for next year. Obviously our coaches know how to recruit. Also, don't blame everthing, such as our lack of offense last season, on our coaching staff. We were definitely lacking experience in a few key positions and we will get better. We can't win a NC every year, even though we'd all love to. Bashing our coaches and players does no good to the school we all love. Be passionate, but be realistic. Geaux Tigers!!

Negativity against the Tigers
Posted by BayouBengal13 on 1/28/10 at 4:22 am
Why is there such negativity towards the Tiger coaches and players? We are all supposed to be fans. We should all support our team no matter what. I agree that things don't always go how we want them to go, but that's the game of football. They can't win a NC every year, even though we think they should. Our offensive woes this season were, in my opinion, due to the lack of experience at some key positions, and should improve next season. Our coach has won a NC so he must have some clue as to what he is doing on the sidelines. We just can't expect things to change over night. The team has to learn from the experiences of last season. Also, for all of the people bitching about recruiting, we will have a top 10 class this year, as we have had for the past few seasons, so stop the crying. Just because we don't have the #1 class doesn't mean we are going down. If talent was all you needed to win championships, teams like the New York Yankees would win every single year. It takes a lot of things: coaching, chemistry, desire, execution, just to name a few. Give our team a little time and we'll be back on top. Quit bashing our coaches, players, and recruits, all this does is cause harm to the team we all love. Geaux Tigers!! :geauxtigers:
